Book Description

December 1996 Lifeskills for Men
How can a man connect his family to God's awesome power?

Many men view prayer as a last resort as a cry for help when their own resources have run out. Others are confused about prayer how they're supposed to "make it work."

Men all over the world are rediscovering the fact that prayer does make things happen. How? Prayer connects us with a God of power and compassion who wants us to join with Him in guiding our families through a challenging world. God wants to involve us in meeting our family's need for direction, practical help, and care. And prayer is our most powerful link to Him. How a Man prays for His Family offers simple, practical advice that will help to start or maybe renew your experience of prayer. It shows how to:

begin to really pray for your family

overcome the typical "start and stall" of prayer to establish life-changing habits

make prayer an effective agent of power and insight for your whole family you, your wife, children, and grandchildren.

JOHN YATES is rector of the historic Falls Church (Episcopal) in suburban Washington, D.C. he has ministered to men and families around the world, and with his wife, Susan, is the author of several books. They have five children.

"LIFESKILLS FOR MEN books that direct men to a life of strength, wisdom, spiritual character and practical know-how!"

This review is from: How a Man Prays for His Family (Lifeskills for Men) (Paperback)
This was an excellent book to go through with an accountability group. The material was excellent for new christians as well as long-time christians.

The author did an excellent job in giving some very practical ways that men can be prayer warriors for their families.
