5.0 out of 5 stars THREE FOR SUCCESS
To succeed in the Northeast, you need Doyle's HOW TO MARRY MONEY, Molloy's DRESS FOR SUCCESS and Birnbach's OFFICIAL PREPPY HANDBOOK.
These books will help ambitious people keep their eyes on the prize.

5.0 out of 5 stars A RIOT, July 3, 2005
By
This review is from: How to Marry Money (Paperback)
A riotous read (in a deadpan kind of way) of amusing anecdotes, rules and instructions for life. Whether you take it seriously or poke fun at it, it's a brisk jaunt through the pretentions of wealthy members of the American establishment, where what really matters is to dress right and read Town and Country.
One of my favourite anecdotes touchs upon the use of a terrapin fork.
It's written by an Irishman from Boston and Cape Cod who describes the rich in this country, showing us in detail who they really are and how they live.
It's unlikely to leave my coffee table for a while.

While skewering the arrogant and the greedy, this humorous guide provides the reader with tools and tips for travelling, attending social functions and enjoying the company of the jet set.

5.0 out of 5 stars A PLETHORA OF TIPS AND TACTICS, May 13, 2004
This review is from: How to Marry Money (Paperback)
A pretty little book. The shiny cover with a picture of a big, frosty sparkler (nice touch!) caught my attention in the book store store and I bought it on impulsive response to the emerald-cut diamond.
This little blue book was loads of fun to read and it delivered plenty (I mean PLENTY) of advice on how to move up whatever social ladder you have in mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hostess Gift to Spark Party Conversation, July 2, 2004
By
This review is from: How to Marry Money (Paperback)
No book can make you much more attractive than you already are, but Doyle's book is a fun read and a great conversation piece.
The shopping, cooking and reading suggestions are informative, along with suggested venues to visit for such purposes as being seen or surveying others.
Well-designed and well-written, with an emerald-cut sparkler on its Tiffany blue cover, How to Marry Money is one of my favorite gifts for sophisticated hostesses.

Good show!

Author Kevin Doyle has done it again with his latest blend of instruction and humor.

HOW TO MARRY MONEY is truly a "can't miss read."

The book is as enlightening as it is entertaining and I look forward to giving it as a present for birthdays, graduations and holidays.

It never leaves my coffee table, because it sparks a lot of conversation. The Secrets of Rich Sex chapter is a tongue in cheek riot

5.0 out of 5 stars SHOULD BE A REALITY TV SHOW, May 19, 2004
This review is from: How to Marry Money (Paperback)
Bought this little blue book after hearing the author interviewed on the CHIO IN THE MORNING radio show in Philadelphia.
It's very well written and not the guide to shallow pursuit that I expected.
HOW TO MARRY MONEY is a metaphor for success and the principles would work as blueprints for discovering new freedom in any endeavor.
I hope the author writes it as a script for a reality TV series.
At $12.00, the advice is practically free, as the the best things in life often are.

4.0 out of 5 stars Its merely a stab at droll humor, June 7, 2005
By
This review is from: How to Marry Money (Paperback)
Save for a listing of high profile charity events, everything in this book is deadpan humor.
It amazes me that anybody is taking it seriously.
