All guys should read this book. There are enough good points about this book from the other reviews here. However, there are a few very terrible parts of this book. For example, the author says that in a grocery store you should say "Excuse me, where can I find the canned unicord." Any girl I think thats not (A) insane (B) insanely desperate, is not going to...

I have read this book cover to cover. Its motivational but really impractical. This books makes a lot of assumptions that are untrue. The book claim's to be "scientifically" applied. 4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book to base dating fundamentals on..., December 2, 1999
This review is from: How to Pick Up Women in the 90's: Instruction in the Art of Meeting, Dating, and Seducing Women (Paperback)
All guys should read this book. There are enough good points about this book from the other reviews here. However, there are a few very terrible parts of this book. For example, the author says that in a grocery store you should say "Excuse me, where can I find the canned unicord." Any girl I think thats not (A) insane (B) insanely desperate, is not going to like a line like that. I've asked out countless women and have left with a number in hand of some of the most beautiful women that are out there. It's certainly not because of my looks. There are ways to have incredible success, this book is a good start. Don't buy it for the parts on NLP either, it's far too brief to get to be exceptionally powerful at it, but probably is the right amount for the guy that wants to just find a girl to date rather than trying to get numerous women and/or get good looking women far out that persons "league".

The bottom line is practice what you preach. If the author claims to be such an authority on seducing women. How come I've never heard of him in the media?

5.0 out of 5 stars A great guide for men on dating, May 16, 1999
By A Customer
As the author of Sexpectations and co-author of How to Succeed With Women, I am not a stranger to the marketplace of these sorts of books for men. In my search for titles to support this one ranks near the top (besides my own books of course) on how to plan a strategy to meet, approach, understand, and date women.

The book is very well written and the style is easy going yet written in a manner that any man can apply the information and learn a lot.

I found the pyschological applications to flirting and seducing women to be highlights of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Brilliant - A True Work of Art., July 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Pick Up Women in the 90's: Instruction in the Art of Meeting, Dating, and Seducing Women (Paperback)
William Perkins really cleaned up my act in this excellent resource on how to pick up women. Instead of spending months trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, Perkins' book spelled it out completely! I not only look at myself more positively, but meeting and 'closing deals' with women just seems too easy now, with the techniques outlined in the book. Like the immortal Alec Baldwin said, in the movie Glengarry Glen Ross, ABC = Always Be Closing.

After reading this book, you'll radiate a new magnetism which girls respond to and find that it's half the battle won already. The rest is easy... just don't blow it - this book shows you exactly how! I went from six months of getting over an ex-girlfriend (even though she was a religious whacko - a pretty one though!) to 5 dates in the space of two weeks. These are RESULTS and this book will help you attain them. I cannot recommend this book enough. William, wherever you are - THANK YOU, you are the man!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your $, September 11, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Pick Up Women in the 90's: Instruction in the Art of Meeting, Dating, and Seducing Women (Paperback)
This book is a crock. I found nothing useful in it at all. It had more ridiculous tips than I can remember. The most ludicrous one of all, though had to do with body language. It says something to the effect that if you are in a bar and you make eye contact with a woman and she returns the eye contact and secuctively licks her lips, that means she's interested in you. What a crock! I think that passage was about three-quarters of the way into the book, and at that point I tore the book to shreds and threw it in the garbage where it belonged, because I couldn't take it anymore. I am 35 years old and never in my entire lifetime in ANY context has ANY woman, attractive or ugly, ever looked at me from across a bar and licked her lips at me. Give me a break!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars A big disapointment, July 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Pick Up Women in the 90's: Instruction in the Art of Meeting, Dating, and Seducing Women (Paperback)
I bought this book hoping it was as good as some of the others out there. But what I got was a very cheaply produced, mimeographed book offering very general advice. I think Perkins is a joke. Do not waste your time or money, get some of the other comprehensive books out there on dating.

5.0 out of 5 stars That's how you become great, man..., July 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Pick Up Women in the 90's: Instruction in the Art of Meeting, Dating, and Seducing Women (Paperback)
There's a line (and I don't wanna bring up a chick flick, mind you) in the movie Jerry Maguire. After printing his "mission statement," the Kinko's clerk states "That's how you become great, man. Hang your balls out there." This book, if you add a little elbow grease, is the closest "surefire" dating tactic book out there. But one thing that must be known, as is stated by the author, that you will strike out sometimes--no matter how well you apply these tactics. But if you do, and keep on trying through the beginning fire, you'll, as the author says, "hook and land a big fish."

5.0 out of 5 stars Good direction for guys!, April 5, 1999
Yes, this is well-written and even gets into some advanced psychological stuff (NLP and such) in helping to become better at whatever you're trying to do in regards to women. I was pleasantly surprised.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brillliant book, August 4, 1998
By A Customer
This book by william perkins is a good source for learning about women and how to seduce them. it's a good source. But you have to do the things that the book says, if not then it wont do much just to read about how to pick up women....instead of doing it. it shows you how to approach women and you can tell which women want to meet you, and those who dont. the only reason why i gave it a star less than 5 is because i thought the book was a little overpriced. but if you need help or info about women. it will be definetely worth the $$money$$
