Useless for those who play the more modern version of Canasta. This was originally written in 1949, and was reprinted "unchanged."

The book was written in 1949 and I know the game has undergone changes since then, so it does me no good. I wanted an updated, current book, and obviously this one is not. Ely Culbertson who wrote the introduction is a very, very old-time bridge player. So am not even reading the book. It did not I occur to me to check the copyright date when I ordered it.

Not much practice yet but seems a good learny tool. Book in poor shape and would help if red cards were colored red, but very little seems available on Canasta today.
