Book Description

November 1, 1994
Tom Kite's day-in, day-out performance on the PGA Tour has earned him an awesome reputation among his fellow players and the nickname "Mr. Consistency". In 1993, he surpassed the eight-million-dollar mark in career earnings and solidified his standing as the biggest money winner in the history of golf. In this dynamic guide to consistent golf improvement, Kite delivers a fresh, comprehensive and engaging look at how the game can be played more effectively from tee to green, no matter what your skill level.

Kite has perfected precision shot-making and a superb mental approach to golf by remaining a career-long student, always looking to learn and improve. He shares his knowledge and his keys to consistency as he guides you through every stage of the game, helping you get greater distance, hit more greens on approach shots, and develop an overall consistent attitude.

Examining the basics of the proper swing, Kite shows weekend players how to build from a strong foundation of skills. In a refreshing departure from the "do-as-I-do" school of instruction, Kite reveals how other Tour players have had problems with their mechanics and how they corrected them, as well as describing what he has done to change and improve. With his vast knowledge of the most effective improvement techniques, Kite can help any player identify weaknesses and correct them, both on the practice tee and while playing. Kite also addresses the mental aspect of the game, revealing how Tour players keep the winning edge, making positive things happen even in difficult situations.

"How To Play Consistent Golf" goes beyond the mechanics of the game to help improve course strategy and approaches to the hole; how to stay composed, tension-free, and comfortable even in the most pressurized situation; and how to "piddle"-- enjoying and getting the most out of practices.

Drawing on the riches of Tom Kite's experience, "How To Play Consistent Golf" will help you to combine fundamental knowledge with a positive approach-- and build the best game of golf you can play.

Kite is one of the most consistent. Here is provides the secrets to this, right technique followed by lots of practice.

He gives advice on all aspects of the game which includes excellent B&W photos. I especially appreciate his section of bunker shots, and those troublesome long shots.

There are sections on course management and practice tips.
