I have never encountered a more perfect review book,
By
This review is from: How to Prepare for the AP Psychology (Barron's AP Psychology Exam) (Paperback)
I never took a psychology course in my life, but one day, for some reason or another, I decided to take the AP psychology exam. I picked up this book, read it throughly and took the tests at the back. On test day, I was literally laughing because the test was EXACTLY the material presented in the Barron's book. I breezed through effortlessly and got a 5. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the makers of this book- i cannot tell you my appreciation, and i applaud your production of an outstanding review book. If you truly know every concept in this book, I cannot, in anyway, foresee a score less than a 5.
by the way, the tests at the back of the book are slightly more complicated than the real thing, so don't be alarmed if you miss 10 or 15...keep in mind i was laughing on test day. thank you barron's

Great review and reference,

This is one of the most helpful Barron's review books because it has everything that is useful to you, the test-taker. It even has a table of contents, with the percentages next to each chapter reflecting how significant the material in the chapter is to the test.
As with all Barron's, the test questions are harder than the actual test, so if you get a 5 on the practice tests, you are essentially guaranteed a 5 on the exam. If you are still unsure, buy "5 steps to a 5: ap psychology" just to "be sure." Get this book as a supplement to your AP Psychology textbook for review. Or, as another reviewer stated, you can buy this review book if you haven't taken AP psychology and would like college credit. It's not as easy as he says- but it's much easier with this book. Overall, a very comprehensive guide, well worth your $12.

I took the regular psychology course offered at my school last year since ap psychology was not offered. I used this review book as my only source to study for the test for 4 months and managed to get a 4 on the test(didn't study the terms enough...). strongly recommend this review book for students who want to get a 4 or 5 on the test. good luck!

GET THIS BOOK,
This review is from: How to Prepare for the AP Psychology (Barron's AP Psychology Exam) (Paperback)
If you are getting ready to take the AP PSYC exam you need to get this book. It contains quizzes on each section of psychology and two practice full length tests at the end. It also has very helpful tips for writing essays. I took the AP exam in the spring of 2005 and got a '5'. I am now a freshman neuroscience major at the University of Delaware (one of the best schools for psychology and neuroscience) and have passed both of my two psychology classes with A's (the highest grade). This book is a must have and I refer to it often.

I self-studied for the AP psychology exam and this book has definitely helped prepare me. This is the BEST psychology book on the market. Trust me, I bought every single one!
1. Barron's 2. Princeton Review 3. 5 steps to a 5 3. D & S Marketing 4. Cliffs AP 5. Sparknotes 6. REA Barron's has the best information, and Princeton Review has the best exams. The Cliffs Ap has 4 exams but the exams are WAY tougher than the real college board exam.

Excellent!,

On the AP test, I had a little bit of trouble with the free response section, but the multiple choice was a breeze, thanks to this book! It explains the concepts using crystal-clear examples of real-life situations. When you are taking the exam, you'll remember the examples in this book. To do well on the free response, answer practice questions. I didn't, and it hurt me on the exam, but that was my fault, not the book's. The book was immensely helpful!

I chose this book over many others was because i read the reviews other people wrote about this book, and it was very helpful. So thank to all of you who put your thoughts down!!
Like what other people have already said, this book is really helpful. it provides a comprehensive review of all concepts, and it even has things that my textbook doesnt. I read this whole book at least three times and made flashcards and did most of the problems, and even though i havent taken the actual AP test which is tomorrow, but i got a 5 on my psych final which was an actual AP test from a few years ago. So if you use this book and study really hard, you will definitely get a 5 on the exam! GOOD LUCK on the test!

This book was excellent.
I read all the pages. I took one or two practice tests, I wish I had taken more because the questions were almost the SAME as the real exam. The tests are harder than the real one meaning you will be well prepared. I scored a 4. If I had done more practice tests, I could have gotten a 5. This book is the best, it is fun to read and pretty easy to read aswell. Don't waste your money or time on others. Good luck!

I really wanted to take AP psychology in high school, but it was too late. So, I decided to study by myself and take the AP exam. This book pretty much sums up everything that was on the exam. It was very helpful. I do feel if I studied a bit more, I would've received a 3. But, other than that if you're thinking about self-studying, get this book. Also, I would advise talking to the psychology teacher if you have one. Maybe he can help with your studies.
