Book Description

March 2002
As a home-based business owner, you may or may not have launched your enterprise after putting together a good, written business plan. It would surprise you to learn how many otherwise capable and smart entrepreneurs put off this chore, largely because it involves the process of setting goals... Goal setting may sound an awful lot like writing a term paper or giving a speech, but you?ll be surprised to know that it's much easier than either of those. And even fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars For SOHO business operators, October 28, 2002
This review is from: How to Promote Your Home Business (Paperback)
How to Promote Your Home Business is a basic how-to book for those who are anticipating or just starting a home business. It focuses primarily on the news release process (as one would expect from an author who is a journalist). It also includes other venues. The book is strongest in its tips for dealing effectively with the media, for understanding the process from the media's perspective, and showing what does and doesn't work in the advertising realm. We rated it four hearts as a good, entry-level book.
