About the Author

Rebecca Maddox, M.B.A., C.P.A., is a founding member of MaddoxSmye, LLC, a consulting firm with a blue chip roster of client companies that delivers strategies on how to sell to the women's market. Her firm has conducted seminars to over 500 car dealerships nationwide with virtually every car brand/manufacturer.

Ms. Maddox had a successful 20-year career in Corporate America, holding executive positions as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales with Capital Holding, Citigroup, and Comp-U-Card of America. The best-selling author of Inc. Your Dreams, Ms. Maddox is a much sought after speaker for conventions and major media outlets including CNBC, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Business Week.

Ms. Maddox has an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University, a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, and a C.P.A. designation from the state of New York. When she is not traveling to dealerships, she resides in Naples, Florida.

Marti Smye, Ph.D., is also a founding member of MaddoxSmye, LLC. My name is Patrick Davis I have written two books on the same subject and have been in the car business for nearly 19 years. In my opinion this is a good book. One of my books has been available on Amazon since 2000. A friend of mine recently called to my attention the reviews that are being posted for books that share a subject category with mine. I am very disappointed that Amazon would allow people to write such distasteful drivel disguised as "reviews" with such titles as "Two Fatties what do they know about cars, trucks maybe?" or "Not Worth the Read, What do Two Old Ladies Know About Selling Cars??, or " Pritch "Pritch"
Get a real job and stop writing these waste of time books", or how about "This Book is a BAD read--I mean really bad, STUPID DUMB POORLY WRITTEN, This book stinks bad ! ! !" Opinions (reviews) are like eyeballs, and elbows everybody has got them. However, when it comes to reviewing sales training books I have more authority than most, and I think this is a good book if your intention is to sell cars to women. Selling cars to women is a smaller niche than I write about. I train salespeople to sell to both genders. However, many principles are the same. It looks to me like another author is using the review section. Most of what I see is what you might expect of bullies on a play ground. I am very disappointed when I see this side of people. I am more disappointed that a company like Amazon would allow this trash to be published under the disguised as "reviews".

I liked this book because, it directed me how to actually sell. So many books address how to market to women, but I found the tips here insightful and a real assist in selling more to my women customers.

People in the car business need this book - they REALLY need this book. Research shows that women buy 65% of all new cars, and handle 65% of all automotive service calls. Yet, with all the variations there are in women's income, age, family status or preference, there's one thing that most women can agree on: car dealerships don't have Clue One about how to sell to women. Car salesmen (92% of dealership salespeople are men) need help understanding that women in the car market research, shop and buy differently - and that's what this book is designed to give them.
