More About the Author

Patricia Love, Ed.D., is an acclaimed therapist and speaker and author/co-author of six books, including Hot Monogamy, The Truth About Love and How to Improve Your Marriage Without Talking About It. She has appeared on Oprah and Today and on CNN, and has contributed to numerous magazines including Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Woman's World.

Pat has a private practice in Austin, TX where she works primarily with couples in an "intensive model" she developed over her years of clinical experience. Couples come for three hours up to three days to work on the important issues in their relationship. This natural, organic process is highly effective as it addresses the strengths as well as challenges presented by each individual couple.

Dr. Love (yes, that's her real name!) also conducts trainings for therapists and counselors based on an evidence-based approach. Utilizing her love for research and curriculum development, she offers a multitude of instructional experiences addressing such timely topics as relationships, marriage, divorce, sexuality, infidelity and recovery, depression, anxiety, loneliness, happiness, addiction, recovery and love in the time of Twitter.

When you work with Pat, whether as a client or a participant in one of her trainings you will notice her warmth, humor and commitment to learning. This combination makes her books, her teaching, her coaching and her therapy a meaningful investment.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

10 of 10 people found the following review helpful By Dr Lisa Love on December 16, 2007
Format: Paperback
Hey. I love Pat Love. And, so I decided to get this book. Quite frankly when I received it I was shocked! It is 62 pages of maybe 150 quotes (yep I started to count them) of what not to do to ruin your relationship. The quotes are funny and useful, but gesh! Some pages have only one quote on it.. like "Withdraw emotionally." I simply couldn't believe I spent this much money on this book! As an author myself, I think I put more into one article I give out for free on my interent ezine on how to be successful, than they had in this entire book! So, all I can say is, the information is fun and useful to know, but get ready for the same possible feeling I had of shock that there is really so little on the page. -- Dr. Lisa Love, Beyond the Secret

I didn't know it was a series of one or two statements per page - but cute nonetheless. Good though.
