"How to Run A Lemonade Stand" is a great idea for kids needing to spend some of their spare time in a productive, learning experience--a great alternative to playing with video games. Not only will kids learn how to manage money, but they will also learn how to run a small business. They will learn responsibility and people skills while having fun and making some pocket change. I encourage you to purchase this book for your kids and give them the opportunity to show you what they can do. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Any child who wants to start a lemonade stand, should be taken seriously - and expected to behave and run the "business" seriously. This book is an awesome gift to any child who wants to give a small business a go, either for charity or for a little pocket money. Lots of practical, down to earth, common sense advice, -all of which probably are new thoughts and challenges for child business owners. Do your child a favor. Hand them this book and lean back.

I read this book and got all reminiscent and silly, almost-gushy stuff. At 61 years old, this book brought back all kinds of memories of adventures and business-making ideas and schemes I had as a kid. What I really like abut Russell's guide is that he filled in gaps in my memory on how to do critical business functions, as well as explain some things that I didn't think of as a kid that I wish I'd known back then. I would highly recommend this book for parents who want to help their kids get a good and profitable head start in business. This guide will surely give advice and tools to help a kid get started right, treat customers the way all businesses should treat customers, to deal with presentation and merchandising, and repeat business. I like the brevity of this little guide, too. Simple, nothing complicated. Great job, Russell. I will go over this book with my own grandkids and see if I get a twinkle in their little eyes.

I thought it was good to introduce my kids to starting their first business. It helped me to remember all that was necessary to teach them. I have been an entrepreneur for several years, and some things are commonplace for me, so I could easily miss teaching 'the obvious'. I read it to them, but they could have very easily read it themselves. Good that it is available for them to read anytime they find themselves forgetting something. All in all, a handy book to have to prep young children for any similar temporary business.

I loved this book. It captures the essence of what it means to build something from scratch and turn it into something meaningful. This book is wonderful because it places emphasis on personal responsibility, hard work and reaping the rewards. Reading this book took me back to when I was eight; the amazing feeling of having enough coins in my pocket to purchase pop and candy. The lemonade stand; that, in my opinion, is a timeless symbol of the marketplace. You may make some mistakes at first, but persistence and courage can eventually lead you to higher levels of achievement. And it all starts in the lemonade stand. Great read. Highly Recommended! :-)

this book on running a lemonade stand hits a home run. It covers all the bases for a DIY adventure bringing a youngster closer to the entrepreneur lifestyle they are on their way to. Ice, sugar, glasses, a table, it is all there. They even cover partnerships and how to get involved in a charity. A good read, liked the little pictures. Most suitable for a child over seven. Thanks for the lesson. jm

When I was growing up, I did about everything to make money except the lemonade stand. This book is more about how to create a successful business than about lemonade. I think I would have done better at a number of my half-baked businesses as a child and as a teen if I had had the wisdom from this book.
