Dave Anderson has written an excellent book. If you are a person of faith, this book will resonate with you and provide practical examples of how to live your beliefs every day. If you are not a person of faith, How to Run Your Business by The Book is still worth your attention. Dave Anderson's books are known for providing top-quality information with immediate take-away value. This book is no different. It is spiritual but not preachy. It is substantive and yet easy to read. Chapter 4 (Five Steps to Build a Rock-Solid Character) is especially important in a world where leaders in every walk of life self-destruct in front of our eyes. Anderson's five steps are (1) Don't tell "white lies;" (2) Keep your commitments; (3) Go the second mile; (4) Don't give false impressions; and (5)Reconcile and forgive immediately. If you are tempted to write off these ideas as simplistic and out-of-touch with today's reality, consider this: where would we be as a society if every person actually followed these five steps? Where would our economy be today? How would the trust in our institutions and leaders be improved? I highly recommend this book. Its relevance extends beyond running a business. It is a plan for leading a life.

Dave's book is an excellent write-up for anyone in business whether you are a person of faith or not. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in laying his/her business on a solid foundation.

This is a great practical buide to running your business successfully. I have followed the principles Dave teaches in my business for many years now, and found them to be very effective. How to Run your Business by the Book is a insightful look into the basic principles that have worked over the century's to manage and lead people here on planet earth. No matter what your religious background I think you will find it to the point, direct, and relevant. Dave's new book has the potential of having the greatest impact of any book i'ver ever read, next to the Bible, of course. Dave uses unique words to make his points direct and very impactful. It's full of Biblical gems and truths that often times are not shared by pastors, and deffinately not be employers. Dave is not fearful of offending people by speaking the truth; and i respect that.

I bought the book for my grandkids also. I share a lesson a week via phone with my grand-daughter who is a swimmer at K.U.

Congratulations Dave, you were obedient and followed God's WORD even into the marketplace. By writing this book, you will have blessed many.

Dave Anderson's book "Business by the Book" is his best one yet. I read "Business by the Book" in three sittings over the weekend. I highlighted and wrote notes all over it. This book is a great road map for bringing my personal and spirital beliefs in line with my business, management and leadership practices. The book takes lessons, concept and pricipals from the Bible and gives you simple, direct and effective ways to apply them to your business life today. Since reading, I have purchased copies for friends and family members who manage people or own businesses.

This book is a must read for anyone currently in leadership or who aspires to be a leader. Dave does an amazing job of using biblical truths to drive home how a leader who desires to follow Christ should conduct themselves.

After reading this book, I am now using it in my daily quiet times to change my actions and attitudes to conform with scripture. Hebrews says the Word of God is sharper than a two edged sword dividing to the joints and marrow and the soul and spirit. Dave uses this sword to cut to the heart of many leadership failures.

I wish I'd had this book when I started my business. I found it to be the most sound business advice I've ever found. I purchased a couple copies for my son-in-law, who is starting a business and a fellow business owner. If you follow what it says, you will have a very successful business. Can't think of a better author...God!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It's easy to read and comprehend and has practical pointers in how to be a successful businessman using time-tested biblical principles. A must read for anyone in management.

Anderson has personally conducted a great deal of research with the Bible and at the school of hard knocks to share with us, this hands-on, how to guide to business success. Eight solid chapters, no publisher fillers in this one, that give excellent advice on how to get yourself right, get your business right and build the right team doing the right things consistently. That is a winning formula spelled out in the book and backed by the principles of the Bible. Solid from the first word to the last.

I hardily recommend this book. It will help you grow you and your business.
