How To Find a Great Book!,
By
This review is from: How To Salsa In A Sari (Kimani TRU (Quality)) (Paperback)
Beautiful, brilliant, blended Issa Mazumder thinks her life is just fine. She gets straight As, has her best friends Gigi and Ishaan, her geeky-cute boyfriend Adam, and lives with her bohemian, art teacher, Indian mother--all while waiting for her long-lost African-American father to return and rescue her back to her beloved Detroit. So what if she's still pretty much a social outcast and she has one serious arch-enemy who's always ready for a catfight. But then in a cruel twist, her okay life turns into her waking nightmare. First, Cat Moreno--the aforementioned arch-enemy--steals Issa's boyfriend. Then, her mom announces that she's marrying the guy she's only been dating a short time ... who also happens to be Cat's father. Now Issa and her mom have moved into the Moreno guest house, and Issa has to face Cat across the dinner table every night. Soon Issa is taking extreme measures to make sure the marriage made in Hades never happens. Will Issa find a way to convince her mom this marriage is a rotten idea? Can she face Cat head-on and emerge without scars--or will Issa be the one fighting to wound? HOW TO SALSA IN A SARI is a fast-paced read with plenty of twists and turns that will leave you asking, "What will Issa do next?" Buy. Read. Enjoy.

Its fun to read 'How to Salsa in a sari'. Once you start reading, you are bound to finish it. The author has portrayed a very true picture of the emotional ups and downs that teenagers go through at their tender age. I would highly recommend this book for the young adults as well as their parents.

A Fun Read!,
This review is from: How To Salsa In A Sari (Kimani TRU (Quality)) (Paperback)
I could not put "How to Salsa in a Sari" down! What a wonderful book. Mischievous, scheming characters, nail-biting plot, adoloscent angst, family break-ups and make-ups...all the elements of a "masala" filled book! I highly recommend it.

"How To Salsa In A Sari" was a great and easy read. The title is great and so visual. When you read about the various characters I could remember those same types of people when I went to high school. There are so many things in the book that ring true, especially my favorite line, "Everyone in life has a purpose, even if it's to serve as a bad example."

box of chocolates,
This review is from: How To Salsa In A Sari (Kimani TRU (Quality)) (Paperback)
How to Salsa in a Sari is a novel that truly exemplifies all the aspects moving aroud a teenager's mind. Issa, the main character, has issues with school as well as home. Most novels focus on one or the other, but this novel brings the two together in a fun-to-read comedy. The novel is relatable, and helps readers keep an open mind about life. Opening this book is like opening a box of chocolates, you are surprised, and then you eat it all too fast, leaving you wanting more.I would reccomend this book to anybody who likes teen novels, because it takes all the aspects of a teenager and explains how sometimes, you just have to roll with the punches.

This book was a lot of fun to read! I definitely reccomend it for any teenager, it deals with a lot of issues that they can relate to. It has a very broad application, you don't need to be Indian or Hispanic to enjoy 'How to Salsa in a Sari'.

Cute book about a mixed-race teenager whose mother suddenly announces she is going to marry a fabulously rich man - a rich man whose spoiled daughter is the local private school's queen of mean. It's a quick, fun read geared toward younger teens. The ending is a little too pat, although I enjoyed getting there.

Really loved to read this book. I could co-relate to all the incidents of this book. Being a Mother of two daughters, I could easily visualize the characters and their problems. I would strongly recommend this book to other Teenagers and their Parents.
