5.0 out of 5 stars What a Riot! If You're Gay and You Travel, You Need This Book!
First of all, the book is small enough to be a convenient carry-along. It is very thorough and covers most every sexual and nonsexual situation you can think of (REALLY) and it enables you to converse easily with native speakers. Each entry is also listed with its phonetic pronunciation. I tried out a German phrase on some guy I knew and he said "OMG how on earth did...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but Limited
I really do enjoy this little phrasebook, whether I'm considering travel or just learning to say something for fun. The book has a decent scope of topics that revolve around gay life, but it does seriously lack in many of the other basics. One would still need a second phrasebook to deal with most other aspects of travel.

Each entry is also listed with its phonetic pronunciation. I tried out a German phrase on some guy I knew and he said "OMG how on earth did you learn that??" Some of the phrases are probably not always going to be used, but are translated and form the basis for comic relief (e.g., "Doll, if you're going to lip-sync, the least you can do is learn the words"). I say buy the book, it will certainly come in handy! The Spanish in particular also has regional differences which is very useful.

For entertainment value alone, you'll probably love this cute text. If you travel, you're sure to add color to your parlance in any of these eight languages.

Not only is this a useful phrasebook but tons of fun! The phrases cover most subjects but the book is not big to throw in a suitcase. A great gift for all your gay friends.
