5.0 out of 5 stars Expand you view of life!
This is a great little book and I enjoyed it a lot. When I first read the book, I was viewing my aura on the first try with the first exercise. This is a step-by-step "how-to" book that ANYONE can do. Everyone has these abilities, they only need to be awakened. 3.0 out of 5 stars good place to start, but try the Smith/Moody book too.
Ted is a really nice guy, and I like his approach on this subject. He also writes great books on animals. This pamflet is nice, but look at the books by Mark Smith and Raymond Moody to get more info.

This is a step-by-step "how-to" book that ANYONE can do. Everyone has these abilities, they only need to be awakened. With enough training and exercising you will be seeing other peoples (and things) auras like flipping a light switch on and off.

But be prepared, if you get really good....you will see BEYOND the aura. And that's where it gets really interesting! This book is a stepping stone in the direction to becoming fully multi-dimensional. Have fun with it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book I've seen on Auras, March 9, 2002
By
This book is a no-nonsense guide to get anyone started seeing auras themselves. I read auras for a living and have found a lot of other books on this subject are limited to a certain perspective only. Ted Andrews clearly knows what he's talking about. No misinformation here. Do the exercises in here. They really work. I have used them in workshops. It is a simple process really and as such should be presented that way. Many people who come to see me want to be psychic too. Well this book will help you do that. Everyone sees auras, they just don't realize where to concentrate their thinking. If you've ever met someone you liked or didn't like instantly, you've made that decision based on an aura. This book is inexpensive and a great tool. You owe it to yourself to try these things. You will be a better judge of people if you develop these skills.

4.0 out of 5 stars Learning to see the aura?, March 11, 2006
This book is helpful to those with experience in energy work or newcomers. Its got some great tips in this book. It has experiments that are simple and you can do them with a partner or on your own. I know that some people can get frustrated when they do not get results but this book explains that everyone will have different speeds at which they learn and even different experiences when they do start "seeing".
My brother and I tried this and I have been working on it for three months now. I knew that I had to be patient because it would take time; but actually I got results more quickly than I thought I would. I can see the aura most times but I still do not understand it always. Whereas my brother learned quickly but then stopped practicing and now sees little of the aura. So we are both at similar levels - my talent coming slow and steady and his coming quickly but with small application.
I recomend this book to anyone because it is possible for everyone to see the aura with their very own physical eyes and once you are able to see it- it brings an amazing amount of insight and understanding to things you never thought of. Just remember: seeing the aura is the easy part. once you can do it- understanding what it means is whats tricky.
I am recomending "animal speak" and others by Ted Andrews as a follow up. Once you learn to "see" with "How to see and read the Aura" the next step could be to speak with nature and listen to what the animals have to say. They are quite talkative, let me tell you. Ive already had great experiences with it and I have only read a very small amount! I dont recomend all of his books but many of the ones that amazon offers here are great! See which ones appeal to you most and good luck to you!

5.0 out of 5 stars You're only limited by your own doubts of what you can do., May 31, 1999
By A Customer
I liked this book a lot, it was given to me by a professional massage therapist. I personally, have been skeptical about this sort of thing before. But, the language of the book is so direct, very plain and easy to understand. Plus the exercises work - and you benefit from them even if you don't try to see auras.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very useful book, July 22, 2002
Ted Andrews' series of slim volumes on topics of the mind and spirit are concise invaluable primers opening the door to the various topics covered. This book on auras takes the reader through step by step on what auras are, how to feel and/or see them, the meaning of the different colours and how to strengthen and protect our own auras.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, November 16, 2008

This review is from: How To See and Read The Aura (How To Series) (Paperback)
I bought a book on learning to see and read auras, and it was so bad it went in the garbage before I even finished it. I decided that seeing the aura was B.S. but I bought one more book anyway, just to be sure. I bought this book. It is unbelieveable. It explains things in a scientific way that validates seeing the aura. It gives specific exercises for your eyes to make them more sensitive. Within a couple weeks I was seeing the first level of the aura, and I'm the least visual person on the planet. This book was so incredible it is the only book I've ever written a review for. If you really want to see auras, you will achieve it with the help of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent How To!, January 14, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Like all the books from Llewellyn, this one is an easy to follow and learn book. The details are not intense and anyone from a beginner to advanced practioner can learn something from this. Great descriptions and suggestions help in knowing how to look for and see and understand the ever changing cycles of one;s aura - and how to visualize the vivid colors that surround a person. A terrific learning tool!

This review is from: How To See and Read The Aura (How To Series) (Paperback)
This is the first book I have ever purchased on Auras. It surpassed my expectations and I am pleasantly surprised on just how great it is. It is very easy to understand and follow. I was a little aprehensive to buy it because the cover is not too impressive. I know you are not supposed to judge a book by its cover...and that is such a true statement. This book is much better than its cover represents:-)
