This book looks cute from its cover, maybe too cute. The font inside is too "cute" to read, and the chapters are not well organized, it doesn't separate how to cut the boys and girls' hair. Even worse, it came with its cover separated from its body. I don't have time to open it till recently, so I can't return it. Bad choice.

"How to Simply Cut Children's Hair" does have some valuable tips and tricks. The many steps are broken down, there are wide variety of styles to choose from. The cartoon drawings help show which direction to cut and how long the cuts should be, what angles, etc.

I think the biggest problem with the book is that there are no photos of the finished product. The drawings don't give me enough of a visual to make me want to attempt most of the cuts on my children. Also, no clipper cuts are included, only scissor cutting techniques.

Still, the book does give me a foundation to start with, so I do not feel it is a total loss. It's just not as complete as I'd like. With photos and clipper cutting instructions, this would be the perfect haircutting guide for parents.
