Simon was born in 1969 in Cheshire. The youngest of 5 children.
Educated at Macclesfield Art & Design College then 2 years at what is now known as the University of Northampton.
Simon then spent many years working in London with his own design and marketing companies and also as Creative Director to other advertising agencies.
He now lives and works in East Sussex with his partner, 4 children, 2 cats and 1 dog.
Is a keen motorbiker and blues harmonica player.

What I love about this book is it's practical, personable style. You really feel like the author is talking to you and is walking you personally through all the things you can do in which to build your business, but all done in a friendly, rather than patronising manner as is so often the case with similar publications! It's full of tips, tricks and strategies for any business owner to apply, which will grow their business. You can dip in and out on any page and find something that you can apply and action in your own world. A great resource!

As a marketing graduate, more years ago than I care to remember, I read a lot of books on the subject of marketing, as it is always changing, and I like to keep up to date. I find many marketing books still spend too much time addressing the basics and can be labourious to trudge through in order to find the meat. Simon's approach is far more down to earth, the book is a really good read and would be easy to understand for even those with little or no marketing knowledge wishing to grow their business. Simon presents a full marketing tool kit, taking you through step-by-step on how to use it to grow your business with ease. I'm currently implementing a number of his suggestions and already seeing results! Highly recommended.
