How To Woo A Spinster was a very fast read. I thought the story was well written but short. I loved the story and both the hero and the heroine. They were both very sensible people. It was about two people who meet because of a very sad occurrence. The hero is surprised by the way in which the heroine reacts and accepts what has happen. He is impressed with the way in which she handled the grave news. Because he was the one who delivered the bad news, he feels obligated to assist her in any way he can. One thing leads to another and so on and so on. The story has one of those aggravating, busybody woman who thinks they are God gift to the world. It also, has one of those interferring butlers who goes by society strict code of propriety. There are a few surprises, people not being who or what they are thought to be. In the end, love and good sense conquers all.

I was very disappointed in this book, if you can call it a book. I bought the Kindle edition, so I couldn't tell how many pages there were in the book. This is more of an undeveloped short story than the historical romances I'm used to purchasing. To call it "short" is an understatement. If the characters and plot had been developed and if the narrative had been more descriptive, it would have been much, much better.
