The other review for this item appears to be for a book by the same or similar title and not these CDs. The CDs are excellent and answer a range of questions from what is a freight brokerage business to pricing services. There is a fair amount of basic business information on here but before you dismiss that as unneeded -- consider that most business fail not because of concept but because of basic business practices. Can't hurt to review the fundamentals.

This is a good overview for a buisness student. This book was not specific to Freight Brokerage, but general business start-up information for any business. The best advice I heard throughout the book was to go to work as an agent for a Freight Brokerage to learn about the business, plus some cautions that this is a fast paced, possibly high stress business environment. The free financial software did not work on my Windows Vista computer. The sample forms are useful if you are not familiar with accounting. There are resources at the end of the book for more information although I am not sure how valuable they are.

I am an independent owner operator i have been in buisness since i was 23 andin 03 i became an independent and this book is a FREKING JOKE it dosent tell you how to go find customers it dosent tell you about good load boards and dosent give you any goverment info that you should know about freight rate like i said it is a joke no good info at all dosent tell you any thing a waste of paper writen for a child it has big leters for you and cartoon drawings what a joooookkkkkkkeeeee thank you for reading review
