Book Description

May 1996

An increasingly popular "HOW-TO" subject guidebook, written specifically for the individual who wants to start his or her own business, headquartered from home with limited business experience and start-up capital.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

With the explosion of 2-income households there's less time to run Errands but more disposable income to pay someone else to do them. A perfect combination.

This guidebook shows the reader, step-by-step how to make money providing a service that's much needed everywhere. The concept is simple: both businesses and consumers are busier than ever before and need help getting their work done... the Errand service shows up offering a variety of errands for the Business or Consumer to choose from... the Errand service gets paid for their efforts. Simple, easy stuff!

If you're ready to leave the rat race but convinced that you don't have the skills and knowledge necessary to do it, this guidebook will change your mind. The information in it is the blueprint to a lifetime income - to activate whenever you want.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's changed everything!, December 10, 2000

I'm a full-time mom and have been looking for information on starting an errand service for quite awhile. I didn't think there was any (other than those ridiculous 2-page reports) until I came across this book on Amazon and I thank you for it.

My husband and I started an errand service exactly five months ago today, and we're doing okay but this book has really helped us. We were working exclusively with busy consumers but the information in this book has showed us how to bring it to the next level. You almost have to after reading it.

After we absorbed what the book has to offer, we've now added to our list of services a meal delivery service, a service that caters to new mothers, an a service that caters to seniors. We're also making some money from local small businesses, acting as a contigency delivery service for their products, while we're doing our regular consumer errands (which we never would have thought to do). We've really turned it up a notch and this is just the beginning. We are so happy that we found this book and just wanted you to know. It's changed everything.

5.0 out of 5 stars Errand Service, July 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How To Start And Operate An Errand Service (Spiral-bound)
In a search for additional income,I came across this book and thought it to be thorough and informative. I started an errand service recently, and this book has a list of ideas that would have taken me years to think of, if at all.

I was hoping for more info on how to charge customers, but what it does have was a help. Also, the sections on whom to market the servce was a godsend. I think it's worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on this subject!!, March 13, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: How To Start And Operate An Errand Service (Spiral-bound)
My local TV news did a show on small businesses to start and mentioned starting an Errand service. I purchased a few books on starting this business and this is, by far, the best!! It has everything - startup tips, marketing tips, and ideas, ideas, and more ideas. Good stuff. Another Amazon reviewer said it didn't have pricing information. Well, I don't know what book they were reading, because this one has more information than any other book I've seen. I started my business six months ago, I'm doing very well, and I have this book to thank. I refer to it all the time. Good luck to you as well!
