NOT a Good Start,
By Andrew I. Shears (Dana Point, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Get Started With the Clarinet (Paperback)
Frank Leanza's "How to Get Started With the Clarinet" is, in fact, precisely NOT what the title suggests. No fingering chart(!), shabby, garage-publishing-style photographs, few exercises, fewer instances of worthwhile advice for the beginner, and still FEWER points of interest for anyone who isn't quite literally just getting started with the clarinet. Not a good choice. I recommend instead Bruce Pearson's Comprehensive Band Method series, "Best in Class." |
