I was referred to this book while discussing "Castle Doctrine" - quite simply, the ability to defend one's home without having to retreat first. California's gun laws are spelled out in a very easy to read manner, examples are given, and statute data is provided. You are warned that this is not a "final legal answer" book, but it describes many situations and "what if" scenarios. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a CCW, is trying to get one, or anyone who keeps a firearm for self defense in their home or place of business.

I bought this book on the recommendation of instructor who was teaching a Basic Pistol Class at my local gun shop. This book gives you information on how to maintain your gun rights in California in a plain and effective manner.
