Save Your Marriage,
By Jay Dalton (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Survive Your Marriage: by Hundreds of Happy Couples Who Did and Some Things to Avoid, From a Few Ex-Spouses who Didn't (Hundreds of Heads Survival Guides) (Paperback)
Having been married for over sixteen years, How to Survive Your Marriage is a great primer for newlyweds and is also entertaining for those of us that have been married longer. I wish I had had a copy in the first few years of marriage because it is a terrific problem solver. It wouldn't surprise me if the divorce rate went down in places that had big sales of the book! I highly recommend it.

After reading so many expert guides on marriage, this one was truly refreshing. Filled with advice from ordinary people. Crazy stories. Fun stories. Touching stories. On all phases of marriage. I read some to my wife. She read some to me. We had some of the best conversations from this. Highly recommend for all marriage couples, young or old.

My Marriage won't be the same since I read this book!,

This review is from: How to Survive Your Marriage: by Hundreds of Happy Couples Who Did and Some Things to Avoid, From a Few Ex-Spouses who Didn't (Hundreds of Heads Survival Guides) (Paperback)
This really is a fabulous resource for couples. My husband and I have been married nearly 20 years and we both learned and laughed a lot while reading this book. It is clearly a great read for newly weds and old folks like us!The well thought out range of topics, very specific details and the broad spectrum of opinions is what makes it so great. It is the opposite of boring or lecture like because of the fun way it is written and layed out. We already bought it for two friends of ours and as a gift for a newly marriage couple. Much cheaper than marriage counseling! And a GREAT GIFT IDEA! I also recommend the other books in this Hundreds of Heads series, on dating and babyhood. Can't wait for more!

A terribly simplistic and boring book. Some funny quotes, but for the most part very juvenile.

Great gift for engaged couples or newlyweds,
This review is from: How to Survive Your Marriage: by Hundreds of Happy Couples Who Did and Some Things to Avoid, From a Few Ex-Spouses who Didn't (Hundreds of Heads Survival Guides) (Paperback)
The next time you're looking for a unique gift for an engaged or newly married couple, I'd suggest you buy "How to Survive Your Marriage," one of a series of "How to Survive" books published by Hundreds of Heads Books, Inc. This book offers advice on a wide range of marital experiences, from getting engaged and planning the wedding, to communication, in-laws, and sex. The biggest plus is that all this great advice comes from the "real experts"--ordinary men and women like you and me who have had their share of ups and downs in the marital arena. Even the tough subjects are addressed, like: Should you have a prenuptial agreement? Should you share your sexual past? And, how do you cope with the ex? But all this seriousness is interspersed with plenty of humor--such as, Top Ten Questions You Should Never Ask Your Husband--for a well-rounded picture of the marriage experience. Heading to a bridal shower or a wedding reception? This book will be the lucky couple's favorite gift!
