A Very "Sweet" Tale....,
By Love 2 Read Novels "Sherry" (a small town in Kansas USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How Sweet It Is (Paperback)
Delphine D'Arleux has a dream to open a chocolate shop. Using most of her savings to travel to Belgium to learn the proper way to make chocolate. While there she runs into a very handsome American name Brad Larsen who gives her a kiss and in return receives a slap.
Because of a computer error the airline says that Delphine doesn't have a return ticket home. She tries to gain money from her account only to find her parents have drained it out. She's got no money and no way home. Or does she? Brad and his parents are at the same terminal waiting to return home. Brad finds out about her situation and his father pays for her ticket and takes her home. Brad is intrigued by Delphine and continues to help her realize her dream by his father loaning her the money to open the chocolate shop. Is Brad just being nice to help her out? or does he expect more than just a monthly payment? Is Delphine just going along with liking Brad because she feels like she has to to secure the loan from his family? Both are insecure. Will they open up so each can see the others heart? What a very "sweet" and fun story. Who could not like a story about chocolate.

Serving Up a Little Chocolate & Romance,
By
This review is from: How Sweet It Is (Paperback)
Who can resist a story wrapped in chocolate? French-American Delphine D'Arleux traveled to Europe to learn the art of candy-making so she can open a chocolatier--a chocolate shop--once she returns home to California. On the day she's to fly home, she meets Brad Larsen, a flirtatious American with a serious love for chocolate. When her credit card is declined at the airport, Brad and his parents insist on buying her ticket. Delphine reluctantly accepts, having no idea of the awkward relationship that's been set in motion. Back home, she pursues her dream, running into one obstacle after another. And each time, Brad seems to come to the rescue. Theirs is a "rocky road" as she resists his constant flirting, while he pursues her with an arsenal of flowers, financial assistance, and good ol' hard work.
I'm a sucker for stories about entrepreneurs who make their dreams come true, especially when love and chocolate are in the mix! Which is why I absolutely loved this sweet story by Bonnie Blythe.

Who doesn't love chocolate and romance? Delphine is a woman who loves to make chocolate candy and has found a man who loves to eat chocolate. This was a great little romance and would like to see more like it. I love the idea of a man who loves a woman for who she is and not what she size she is. Great read!!

How Sweet It Is,

This review is from: How Sweet It Is (Paperback)
This book by Bonnie Blythe is so sweet (LOL) it really is for chocolate lovers. Delphine has gone to France to learn how they make chocolate candy as she wants to open her own store in the states. She has more problems than one person should have, she has spent all her money to take the trip and left her parents at home who are a (little eccentric) and for some reason she left her cash card with them and they use all her money left in her bank account. She has already met this good looking guy at a candy shop and he stole a kiss to get the chocolate off her mouth. He is a terrible chocoholic and he is in France with his parents.
When Delphine goes to the airport to come home they had no record of her ticket, that was a round trip, she had no money and none at home. OF course Brad comes to her rescue and his parents pay for her return trip home. She has a time at home and a hopeless case of ever opening her candy shop, then she get fired, her dad dies and Brad keeps coming around. I have got to stop this review before I tell the complete book and you would not have a reson to buy a copy for yourself. It really is funny, sad and very CHOCOLATE. A very good read.

Brad is a chocoholic. Delphine makes chocolate. What could make a better couple? From the first kiss to the last this is an enjoyable read. I just wish there was more chocolate involved.
