4.0 out of 5 stars Not for the feint hearted
An awesome book, just what I was looking for to help me in planning a series of real world (dirty) Japanese language learning podcasts. Will certainly help you learn the worst Japanese possible, but be warned the English translation are very un-politically correct. If you aren't offended by words like "fag", then you should be fine. Just don't be fooled into thinking it's...

I have to admit I was a little hesitant buying the book in the first place, considering there is no item description or preview. I would certainly not consider this book a learning tool.

The left side of each page is written in Japanese, and the right page in English, so it's a side by side translation throughout each chapter both pretty much saying the same thing. The problem I have with this is that I only understand Hiragana and Katakana, while I have yet to tackle Kanji and there appears to be a very minimal use of Romaji (which is all double-spaced making it a pain to read itself). Obviously I don't care to read the English pages, because I already know how to curse in English. Unfortunately, it's impossible for me to read or translate the Japanese pages until I have a better understanding of Kanji, but, I wonder if once I've mastered Kanji and can read Japanese well enough to read this book, will I really have any use for it?

On another note, the English I did read is close-minded and extremely opinionated. What I mean by that is the foul language is NOT at all humorous, it is down right hateful and racist as if written by some nazi anarchist adolescent. I have a very twisted sense of humor, but this is not my cup of tea, personally.

I ordered this book expecting it to be entertaining. After thumbing through it I tossed it in the garbage, it's nothing more than an African American spewing racial slurs and warning the people of Japan about how horrible "white people" are. It was very disappointing.
