I got this game for my then nearly 4-year-old daughter and a year later she still enjoys playing it. The game is VERY simple and does not require reading. All the parts and pieces are high quality. It's a good opportunity to work with numbers and measuring, plus the game goes fast so you can play it quickly if needed or multiple rounds if you have the time/inclination.

The object is to create the tallest character by mixing/matching 5 parts (feet, legs, body, head, and hat). The character pieces are brightly colored and fun and include: ballerina, doctor, fireman/woman, policeman/woman, cowboy/cowgirl, and a clown. A roll of the die determines which part you select. The die has both pictures and words--except for the WILD side which is printed in red.

After the characters are assembled each player measures with the included ruler (you can choose centimeters or inches) to see whose character is the tallest. It's a sliding ruler with a base so the kids can actually fit their character inside and line up the top with the corresponding number on the ruler.

I wouldn't recommend this game for kids beyond 5--it may be a little too simple. But for 3/4/5's it's a great game.

This ia a great game for little ones. We have a 2 and a 4 year old who love to play this together, and it's easy for them to play without a grown up. They love the neat ruler used to measure the characters they build. All around a great game. Would make a nice gift.

I bought 3 of these games - one for my daughter and 2 as gifts. Everybody gave the game rave reviews.

I ordered this game for my son (3 years) and another for his friend (the same age) for Christmas. It was a great choice for a first game! The rules are simple to follow, and my son loves making the "tallest" clown he can! The pieces are very durable (as long as the kids are over the chewing phase...) and easy to clean up/put in the box.

This game is easy to learn, and will get your toddler started with board games. But be warned, it's fantastically boring for adults to play. Be prepared to sit around rolling the die turn after turn waiting for it to land on the one thing you need to finish the game. Just about any game by Haba would be a better choice.

I bought this game on a whim and I'm glad I did. It has helped my 3 yr old learn about inches and measuring. He enjoys playing it often, but it only took a couple of games for him to realize what pieces he needed to pick to be the tallest. We have to mix the game up and see who can make the shortest person, or who can make a person who is closed to 10 inches, etc...
The pieces are very durable and it is a simple game to learn for preschool aged kids.

This is a very cute game to help children understand measurement. The pieces are very sturdy and will certainly last forever if care is taken. My boys 5 years old loved the game. I would think it would be appropriate for 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 years old.

I was looking for a simple game I could use at my job at an integrated preschool. The children I work with are 3 to 5 years old, and they all love this game. I like all the language and academic skills we can practice in a very short amount of time. A complete game usually takes less than 15 minutes and the directions are very easy to understand. I would highly recommend this game to anyone.

This game is too simple for kids over 3 yrs old. I wish they had included more pieces so the game would be more interesting. My 4 yr old and 5 yr old got bored quickly. They don't want to play it anymore, only having it a couple weeks.

My young preschooler likes to play this game. Best of all, it doesn't take long to play so they don't get bored with it like some. It's the most simplest game. For a little older kids, it would just be to easy.
