A good introduction to the American space program, very little about the structure of space ships,

This review is from: How Do They Build Spaceships [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video contains very little about the actual structure of spaceships. There is a brief history of the American manned space program from the Mercury program through the space shuttle. This is followed by some footage of Mike at the NASA space camp where he is going through some of the activities that children do at the camp. Finally, there is footage of astronauts at play in the space shuttle, performing acrobatics that can only be done in free fall.
Created at the level of the student at most in late middle school, this video is a success in creating an interest in the space program in that age group. It is completely non-technical in nature, demonstrating many aspects of the space program that can be described as fun. |
