5.0 out of 5 stars What a Treasure!
This is a wonderful book to take with you to read and re-read as you have time in your day. I bought two copies of Sandra's book, one for a friend and one for myself.

Sandra talks in such a manner as to engage both your mind and heart,
in simple easy-to-read form. There is a natural flow with her words.

2.0 out of 5 stars How to Thrive in Changing Times
I have picked this book up at least a dozen times hoping I would see the worth of it. I read 'Imagine" in the Introduction and was disgusted by the `everything is great and wonderful' premise. I did not like the book at all. It was the same old-same old of loving and caring and sharing and all will simply work out in the end. I couldn't swallow it. It may be my stage of...

5.0 out of 5 stars Positive ways to engage in spiritual practices, November 4, 2010
This review is from: How to Thrive in Changing Times: Simple Tools to Create True Health, Wealth, Peace, and Joy for Yourself and the Earth (Paperback)
This book could not be more timely. Ingerman is a wonderful healer, teacher and guide. In this book she relates how everything that manifests in our physical world is a result of our thoughts and words. She discusses ways to engage in spiritual practices to create a more balanced life and to be able to thrive in today's ever-changing world. She also goes into actions or steps you can take to affect change on a personal, community and global level. This book is a gem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Change your thoughts and change the world, July 23, 2010
This review is from: How to Thrive in Changing Times: Simple Tools to Create True Health, Wealth, Peace, and Joy for Yourself and the Earth (Paperback)
As our world changes at an ever more rapid pace, thriving sometimes feels like an insurmountable challenge. Sandra Ingerman believes it's a lot easier than we think, but first we need to know what to do, both as individuals and as a community.

Spiritual masters over the years have taught that our thoughts determine our lives. Now we also know that these thoughts can even affect the environment around us. And if we can get together as a group, these healing thoughts are even more powerful.

How do we do this? Ingerman provides rituals and exercises designed to bring about positive changes in our lives and in the world. These can be done alone or in a group setting.

How to Thrive in Changing Times reminds us that we have the ability to do so much more than we believe. We may be the limiting force in our lives, but we can change our thoughts and the outcomes of those thoughts. And in changing ourselves, we can help to change the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dreaming the World into Being, July 15, 2010
This review is from: How to Thrive in Changing Times: Simple Tools to Create True Health, Wealth, Peace, and Joy for Yourself and the Earth (Paperback)
Sandra Ingerman tackles the difficult yet enormously important challenge of integrating the spiritual issues of our time with the ecological crises we're facing. After reading "How to Thrive in Changing Times" I wanted to find out more about her intriguing ideas for healing both our soul and our planet, and she was kind enough to be interviewed about everything from how to overcome personal despair and defeatism in light of the tremendous problems humanity is faced with to the challenges of bringing our inner process back into our political discourse without coming off as "woo woo."
So if you'd like hear more from this great healer and author, check out the interview at http://wp.me/pqmgJ-lU

This review is from: How to Thrive in Changing Times: Simple Tools to Create True Health, Wealth, Peace, and Joy for Yourself and the Earth (Paperback)
It may be my stage of life, but it seemed so trite to me.

After I finally got over that introduction, I did read the book but only to do a review. It turns out it's not a bad book. The best thing that Ingerman does to redeem the book is to include the Practice paragraphs. A self help book using the elements is certainly like many others I have read.

I think Ingerman will lose many reader with the 'Imagine' piece in the beginning. Other than that black mark, the book is worth a look.
