More About the Author

Peter's life has included three defining moments--his parent's determination to escape with a four-year-old son from a worn torn Hungary; IBM's decision to hire an ordinary, wet behind the ears, college graduate as part of its highly skilled sales force; and, ultimately, getting laid off thirty-one years later, presenting Peter with an opportunity to reinvent himself as an author.

Peter worked for IBM as a top performer in sales and marketing for just over three decades, generating about one billion in sales revenue. Hard work, the daily gratitude for working for one of the world's best companies and a dedication to selling with unwavering passion, led to numerous extravagant IBM 100% Club trips and ultimately to earning recognition as a member of IBM's prestigious Golden Circle.

Throughout his career, Peter collected many awards, along with a treasure chest full of invaluable information and experiences gleaned from IBM training sessions, management positions, developing new programs, successes, mistakes and words of wisdom from others.

Upon retirement, he decided it was a shame to simply stop working and allow the lessons learned from over three decades of work to slowly fade away. So, out of a yearning to help people who've chosen, or plan to pursue selling as a vocation, Peter concluded that he would share his knowledge. He believes his easy-to-understand book will do just that (now in its second edition). And, keep in mind, you sell "something" every day - ideas, concepts, proposals, yourself (job hunting), products, services, etc.

Aim your career in the right direction now -- learn why he, with his wife's encouragement and support, voluntarily stepped down from a second line IBM manager's position they both sacrificed for, only to return to what he loved to do.

When he's not selling his book, Peter enjoys family activities, camping, snow shoeing, designing/selling T-shirts, volunteer work, puttering outdoors and riding his bike in upstate New York.

Like someone once said, "Things may come to those who wait, but only what's left by those who hustle." Success is waiting. Shouldn't you start improving yourself today?

Right now, your own book is waiting to be printed on-demand by Amazon. Find out for yourself why the proven steps to sales success can really be this simple. Order your copy now.

Peter has laid out the steps necessary to be successful in sales. It is an enjoyable and easy read with lots of real world advice learned over 31 years in sales as a top performer. I had the privilege of working with Peter for 10 of those years and from him learned many valuable sales techniques.

This book is a nice, easy read. Peter's numerous personal anecdotes take this book beyond a self-help primer, more like good advice from a friend. Highly recommended!!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By John Nabozny on November 14, 2009
Format: Paperback
Peter offers a comprehensive and workable approach to sales success. I've found the techniques outlined in the book to be precise and yet simple to implement. As an example, I recently utilized focused questioning to uncover a considerable opportunity.

I've been looking for opportunities at a very large prospect and have found only moderate interest. I decided to try better questioning to be more thorough. Following the book's suggestion to use Open, Reflective and Directive questions, and when to use them, I was able to uncover a need and move to a position that allowed me to propose a sizable material handling solution. This approach not only uncovered the opportunity, it also created customer confidence in my capabilities.

Proper questioning is such a key element for uncovering needs and developing trust. You can always improve your approach, as I did...often to great benefit.

Peter's writing style is easy to read and understand, applies real life situations to the lessons in a helpful manner, and even shows how his techniques could help someone like me "sell myself" in my work as an administrative assistant, or someone else in a position other than a traditional selling role. I find it refreshing and I like the personal touch the author has put behind the book associating his and his mentees' experiences with his lessons. Thank you so much for offering your knowledge to the world not only in a sales capacity but in a life capacity as well. I am enjoying your book thoroughly and find it to be very well written and informative.
