Book Description

Everyone has stress...but it's the Long-Term Stress that can really take a chainsaw to your health. There are actually two kinds of stress - Emotional and Physical. And all the practices around stress relief, only deal with half the equation: the Emotional part. Meanwhile, Physical stress has been piling up in your body for years.

Long-Term Stress triggers a physiological chain reaction in your body, and once that gets started, stress relief tools will not stop it. You can be meditating, tapping, or lying on the beach, but the chain reaction just keeps on going.

But don't stress about it! This book explains what happens in your body and helps you evaluate where you are on the Long-Term Stress Scale, then gives you real-world tools and practices to stop that physiological chain reaction once and for all.

This book provides critical information you won't find anywhere else. The author shares insights she gained while rebuilding her own health after decades of stress, based on solid medical and scientific principles. She is a scientist who spent nearly 25 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, and this book is written conversationally, so that the information in it can be easily understood by anyone.

"How to De-Stress" exposes what the media is not saying, what your doctor isn't telling you, and what you really NEED to know about stress and Long-Term Stress. It guides you through proven steps and life-changing practices that will help you find freedom.

5.0 out of 5 stars What I've been waiting for and didn't know it May 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book has groundbreaking information about a topic we've all been inundated with. I was skeptical that there could be anything substantially new about stress, but there certainly is and here it is. This is revolutionary, not only in the information but in the approach to effectively intervening in the physiological chain reaction that just keeps going on in the case of Long Term Stress. And fortunately, Diana Lees' easy conversational style makes this potentially intimidating scientific information totally accessible. I not only was not bored, I found it absolutely compelling. This is a must-read for anyone who wants optimum health in our current culture of stress.

I have been on a journey to regain my health for almost half my life. Along that journey, I learned of the benefits of nutritional supplementation and lifestyle changes, and I understood that too much stress could be a detriment to optimal health. However, reading Diana's book really turned on the light for me about the long-lasting and hidden dangers of stress. I am now on the path to better health, and a happier life. For this I am very thankful.
