While I am very much a visual person, and both my design degrees prove that, when one is starting to design a room looking at all the beautiful visuals in a magazine can quickly become overwhelming.

This well-written little book lays out the basics of design and function in a way that is easy to understand and follow.

If you are starting on the path of redesigning your bedroom, do take the time to read this book BEFORE you start looking at all the beautiful pictures in magazines. The understanding you will have gained from this book will help you make sort thru the eye candy, and make decisions that are appropriate for your room.

Or perhaps other reviewers have a better grasp. I wanted to know how to decorate not furnish and paint. It did't do much for me in regards to furnish and paint either. I did like the section on measuring the room, but I already do this. I am clueless on decorating. I need more info. I don't really like decorating. Maybe the other reviewers are into this subject or more advanced. The text is well written. I would't call this a waste of time. It just did't answer my questions. The last paragraph briefly addressed what I wanted to know. Too bad it ended there.
