When I first saw this title I admit, I hesitated. Why? Because I'm lazy, that's why! I thought if I download this book I probably won't even read it. However I KNOW I need to make some changes in my life. Last May I attempted suicide. The past few years have been a battle with severe depression. Last June God did a miracle in my life and healed me from depression and suicidal thoughts! Praise God - I feel SO much better - BUT - I have gotten into the daily habit of sitting in - yes - a LAZY boy chair - and playing computer games, surfing the web for e-books, and going on facebook everyday. This is my routine. Oh - that and napping. Emotionally and mentally I am doing great! Physically I'm in a rut. I will admit right now that I haven't even finished this book (yeah - still somewhat lazy) but just getting started and already I have taken to heart the author's advice. I deleted all facebook games and announced to my FB friends that I am cutting way back. Will just "pop" in from time to time instead of once a day/all day. I have changed my home page away from facebook to remove some of the temptation. The book recommends getting away from lazy friends or a lazy spouse and I realized that I AM the lazy friend and lazy spouse! So I talked to my husband and told him of my desire to change. Due to a knee injury last fall - I haven't been moving around much - but have used that as an excuse - so now I am going for a walk each day. Even if it's a short one for now - due to leg pain - I'll do what I can - as much as I can each day. This book is inspiring me to make some changes and I WILL finish the book, lol - I promise! I also want to write a book and have a novel on the shelf I want to dust off and polish up and get published! I need to get on with life!!! I don't care if the author is an MD or just a fellow lazy person - his advice helped me! Thank you Les Stark for helping me get off my butt and get started!

I never read a book twice, but I did this one. I am glad someone finally wrote about my problem of being lazy. I am using it daily and even printed it to keep it close by.

I wish I could say something positive, but this is a very poorly written book. First, it has several technical/writing errors. In addition to the incorrectly spelled words, incorrect punctuation, and missing words, there were several instances of awkward phrasing. For example: "One has to start by first taking the necessary action by getting up in the morning and taking a jog. It will be noted that after the jog once energy is renewed and laziness literally flies off the door." I can overlook a few errors, but in this case, there was something wrong on almost every page. As for the content, much of it was repetitive. Mr. Stark frequently mentions the importance of exercising and eating a healthy diet to avoid laziness. There is contradictory information about sleep: At Location 54, "Avoid sleeping more than 8 eight (sic) hours since sleep can make you lazy." At Location 294, "To avoid this from happen (sic) sleep for eight hours." At Location 329, "As any health professional will tell you we need a minimum of eight hours of sleep to allow the body to re-charge." Even as a freebie, this book isn't worth the download.

This is not actually a bad book, but for someone who is looking for some useful information on how to improve themselves, this doesn't really have anything new, and is a bit of a downer, as it tends to equate being lazy with being fat, and both with bad general character.

With one or two glaring exceptions, most of the advice is not actually wrong, and if you haven't encountered it before, the section on sleep disorders and sleep apnea is pretty good and might be helpful if that is a major source of your laziness. However, I've been there and done that, and that is not my particular problem.

The style of this book reminds one of a particularly long high school term paper - again, not that bad, but not outstandingly good either.

Very poorly written dialogue! Spelling and grammar errors throughout the book! It seems like a child wrote it! Makes it very hard to read! This is supposed to be an informative, self-help book that will motivate you to get up off the couch and move. Instead, this guy keeps repeating a lot of ridiculous information that should be common sense to most people; yes, even the lazy folks. I barely made it through this book and would not recommend it to anyone ever! I can't believe this book was ever even published!
