Training your dog can be really hard. I know that sounds obvious, but if you want a happy dog, and a happy family, you either have to do it yourself, or your have to pay someone else to do it. That's just the way it is. If you want to learn how to train a dog, without spending a fortune, you'll need some real guidance.
If you can't afford to have a professional train your dog, then the next step is to learn how to do it yourself. Unless you completely lack the confidence to do it, then a book on the topic should be sufficient.
"How to Train a Dog - It Really Is Easy" is a 26 page ebook in Kindle format that will show you how. It explains in a very simple way how to do it. You don't need any fancy equipment, and if you can read and follow instructions, then you can teach your dog the basic commands, like Sit and Stay.
What I like about this ebook is that it is basic. In fact, if you have children, and you're looking for a way to teach them responsibility, then this is an excellent way to do it because the instructions are broken down and explained in such a way that if you can read and follow instructions, you can do this.
Another thing is that each chapter teaches you a different command to teach your dog. You can learn one thing at a time together, and you can train your dog in as little as 15 - 20 minutes a day, so even the most time pressed person can do it. This book is very short, I read it in like 20 minutes. Though I will go back and re-read sections of it before and during the training of a dog to refresh my mind.
I grew up with a Beagle. This guy was so very much like Snoopy you'd swear he could understand English. You'd ask him to go to the back porch and get the white shoe and he'd come back with the white shoe. He required very little in the way of training. We've had several other dogs over the years and they all required a lot more training that the Beagel. Dogs, like people can be smart or dumb. And some can take a lot more effort to train than others.
I read this book because we're planning on getting a dog for our family and it's been so many years since I've done any kind of dog training. I wanted something simple with easy to follow steps. That's just what this book provided. It is a very BASIC dog training book for beginners. If you know that going in you won't be disappointed.

This is a good easy to read book with simple, clear instructions and tips on how to train your dog.
There are also excellent photographs in the book.
