More About the Author

Michael Bigger, CFA, Managing Partner and Founder of Bigger Capital

Michael Bigger is an investor and a trader who has been involved with trading technologies for more than twenty years. In 1992, Michael joined Citibank as head trader of U.S. single-stock derivatives, where he managed a $5 billion portfolio of equity derivatives. In 1998, he joined D.E. Shaw & Co., L.P. to trade the U.S. equity derivatives portfolio.

In 2000, he started the listed equity options business by establishing KBC Financial Products as one of the three initial market-makers of the International Securities Exchange. He built that business into the primary market-maker for listed equity options on over 120 companies, with fifteen traders executing thousands of trades per day. In December 2001, Michael left KBC to start his trading firm Bigger Capital. The company just completed a software application to extract investment information from social media and has incorporated this information in its trading algorithm.

Michael received a BS in Physics from the University of Quebec in Montréal in 1986 and an MBA from York University in Toronto in 1991.

From 1986 to 1990, Michael worked as a meteorologist for the Canadian government, where his responsibilities included using complex differential mathematics to forecast synoptic and mesoscale atmospheric elements for meteorological research and forecasting.

As a private investor in start-up companies, Michael was among a group of investors who sold Innovative Fibers to Alcatel for $175 million in July 2000. bit.ly/1H43a

It took me awhile to put into words how the information in this book changed my trading career. Before I read Michael's work my trading process was linear and one dimensional.

Utilizing the ideas and exercises presented in this book I was able to unleash the creative trader within myself. Learning to see the market from a different lens allowed me to walk down different avenues of trading and think differently while being in those trades. Michael teaches you simple concepts that you can use immediately which can help you adapt to a constantly changing trading world. Concepts such as increasing your value to infinity, creating habits of success, and building an "ecosystem" which you extract, use and trade information. This is truly powerful stuff!

Most importantly to me, his work has taught me to approach everything in life creatively rather than rigidly. I can not emphasize enough what a great investment this work is. Should you have the courage to step up your game, I hope you take the step to utilize the information presented in this book.

Lastly, Renita T. Kalhorn a performance strategist adds a section to the book titled "Into the flow zone" which are "21 Strategies for extreme productivity, excellence, and engagement. I enjoyed this as well as it gave me useful tips that I can use daily and immediately. I really had fun with them. Thank you for reading and I hope you will find my review helpful.

EVERYTIME YOU FEEL LOST IN TRADING... READ IT.

EVERYTIME YOU FEEL OVERCONFIDENT... READ IT.

EVERYTIME YOU FEEL NORMAL... READ IT.

I AM STILL SPEECHLESS.

BEYOND AWESOME.

JUST ONE "but" THING:
I GUESS HIS LAST NAME
SHOULD BE:
BIGGEST.

This book will change you...
for good.

We need more trading literature like this. Michael offers real value and some great words of wisdom. This is probably one of my favorite books on trading I have read in a long time. While it's a short read, it contains a lot of great information, and I find myself reading it over and over again, finding something new each time.

I got this book to hopefully get some inspiration, what a disappointment it turned out to be... There is no meat. The author states the obvious and suggests exercises that I found quite laughable. At least it's a quick read, you do not make a very involving mistake if you decide to go with it.
