daughter loves it,
This review is from: How to Train Your Dragon: Hiccup the Hero (I Can Read Book 2) (Paperback)
My four year old daughter loves this. She can't read it yet though. It's a cute shortened version of the movie.

Cute book and perfect for preschoolers. Easy to read and true to the story (but obviously condensed). A good book for early readers.

My 3 year old was scared to watch the movie so I invested on these books and they are now his favorite. He's now a dragon fan and has endearingly names his 1 year old sister "Terrible Terror".

While this was a wonderful movie, the book makes it sound somewhat dull. It is written in the passive voice in a somewhat condescending, talking to little kids tone. Very little dialogue or action scenes. Very thin, cheap paperback. It does however tell the story and if you can juice it up as a read aloud could be fun. Better yet, use the pictures and tell your own version of the story.
