How To Train Your Dragon Movie Mini Talking Plush Night Fury

My daughter loved How To Train Your Dragon, and had to have a dragon of her own soon after seeing it. She decided on the mini talking Night Fury here. It's a great little stuffed dragon, and provided that you get it for the original retail price or less, is worth the money. He's not that big- about the size of the mini plush Pokemon, and when you smack him, he lets out a mighty roar. It's just one sound, no variations, but it's not like the dragons had many sounds in the movie to pick from. The eyes, nostrils and mouth are sewn well, and the claws, wings and 'fins' on the tail are thick felt. Not much is going to mess up this guy.

The only thing you'll need to be careful with is if Night Fury gets dirty. Because of the voice box inside, if it gets damp at all, there'll be a problem. 'could be a small one that goes away after a few hours, or it could ruin the talking feature completely. So if there's a spot on it at all, take a damp wash cloth, wring it out so no water drips, and -then- rub it out. But because he's blue, it's going to be hard to see any spots on him anyway.

If your child loved the movie, or even just Night Fury, this would be a cool small present for them. It doesn't 'do' much aside from the one sound, but hey, they're getting their own baby dragon that roars. And that's pretty cool.

This little toy is cute and fusy and makes a noise when hit. My 13 year old daughter is very possessive of it. So she likes it.

I initially reviewed that this item was too small for it's price. The sellers response to my review was,....

"If you feel that the item was too expensive for it's size then why did you buy in the first place?"

I was also disapointed with the size, this is a stocking stuffer. I was also disapointed when I saw them at Walmart for $5.00. I think they are over priced for what you get. As for the sound, I had to keep inserting the tag into one to get the sound to work. Wondering how long that will last?

This toy is very cute and small but the sound it makes might not last very long. I purchased this item as a gift and it worked fine, for a couple hours. After that now the sound doesn't function. Still a cute small toothless.

I thought that when it said 5 inches that it was 5 inches while holding it, not pulling the wings to stretch it that long. If I knew that it was SO SMALL for the price I would have saved my money and just lit it on fire. And for the sound, does not exist. Will start the hunt for something else for my niece. Worst thing I have ordered from Amazon.

Even though I'd read other reviews that mentioned that this item was small, I still didn't realize just how small it would be. Given the price, I was expecting it would be double the actual size. I had purchased it as a gift, and had to run out and buy additional items at the last minute because I didn't want my only gift to my nephew to be a tiny, cheap looking toy that looked like it could have been a happy meal prize.

The toy was a present for my 3 yo son, i knew how small it was going to be that was not a surprise,

my son asked mommy how come toothless is blue he was not blue in the movie. My son is right he was black

in the movie, i replied because it may look to scary and other children would not buy it. I think if your

going to make a toy from a movie like that you should probably stay with what colors the characters or

animal in this case were originally children remember at least my son did.

I gave this toy to my Grandson and he loves it. It works great and he never lets it out of his sight.

My husband and I love the movie, we watched it together last year and my husband made a comment about wanting a toy of Toothless and that he loved the sound it made in the movie. I looked for a toy with sound to get him for his birthday, but everything I found was some hard plastic toy, and I preferred a plush. Since his work environment is one where they will often bring those kinds of things to the office, this smaller item was going to be perfect! That and they already throw a soft football around at times, so I knew that something that would make sound, "fly" in the air, and not break anything it hits was going to be the perfect addition to his desk. All of his colleagues said that he wore them out the first day he brought it, but now they all have fun with it. You know a product is great when a bunch of engineers can have fun with it.

As for the seller, they were A-mazing! I thought I wasn't going to be able to get the item in time for his birthday, but they were so fast to finalize the shipping and get it sent out that I received it the first day of the estimated delivery dates and just in time to throw it in his gift bag!
