2.0 out of 5 stars Not Recommended for the Pro Se Litigant, September 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How to Try Your Own Case in Court-And Win! (Paperback)
I bought several books on how to try a case pro se in court, and this was the worst of them all. The book tells the reader very little that's specific and necessary for success. It's mainly comprised of broad generalizations rather than step-by-step instructions. And it's also for California courts, which will do you little good if you live in another state. Know also that this is only book 1 so it's not the complete series.

If you really want good legal advice, hire a lawyer.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for every family, July 30, 2006
This review is from: How to Try Your Own Case in Court-And Win! (Paperback)
Chances are almost 100% that you will need to sue someone or someone will sue you within the next two years. This book is a step by step guide that will help you save hundreds or thousands of dollars by doing basic case research and preparation of materials with which you can win your own small claims case. If you must retain a lawyer, you will already have laid the foundation from which he or she can then build your case for presentation. So easy, you'll actually enjoy the challenge of serving as your own attorney. You may even decide to go to law school.
