The work of several accomplished felt-makers is represented,and the photography is appealing. But even as an experienced felt maker, I was unable to decipher and follow the how-to project information provided. It's confusing and incomplete. Too bad...this book is a tease.

Many of the projects in this book are a little complex for a beginner but even those offer ideas for new techniques that can be incorporated into simpler projects. It's nice to see samples of more advanced work for inspiration too!

There are some wonderful projects and ideas in this book. It would have been better if the instructions incorporated more how-to photos. I love the boots and slippers, the bags and the African trade beads in the gallery are superb. The book includes some exciting techniques. However, like most, I am still wondering, having read the instructions, how to make these things.

This is one the most beautiful of the books on my felting shelf. The projects all share their contemporary nature, which I love, but from there the techniques and the types of projects spin out into so many different directions. Both home decore and wearables are represented here. A group of floating felted poppies suspended from a ceiling evoke Chihuly's wild use of color and organic shape; while a pair of Scandinavian books wth Hungarian flair has me looking for shoe soles. A butterfly cape takes my breath away and a primitive patterned tote has me checking my roving supply. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a love of contemporary styled projects and a desire to examine felt in many different techniques and projects.

I was so pleased to get this well laid out and colourful book full of great ideas and clear instructions on how to do them. You wont be disappointed

A beautiful book ,with lots of inspiration and ideas, but not such clear instructions, quite difficult in fact ,this book requires a more experienced artist in order to use it to its full potential.

Great book with some great projects. I found the photos of some of the projects a bit dated in terms of colours and style.

Yes, there is some nice work of other felters but.....how do I put this......when the person producing the book creates less than stellar felt one is left wondering why this particular person was chosen to write a felt book.
