Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile

Eight original Westerns, written specifically for these recordings, form this collection. This innovative approach to audiobooks is likely to gain a significant audience. George Kennedy slams back the saloon doors and gets the audience gathered round, then proceeds to tell these tales of outlaws, Texas rangers and frontier justice. His gruff, gravelly voice suits the rough-and-tumble men although his women and character-parts are inconsistent at times. The pace is relentless, and Kennedy keeps up a hard-driving emphatic style. The collection is sure to appeal to Western genre fans, who will know the authors and appreciate the action, pathos and rough-hewn characters. R.F.W. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine

An old women robs a morgue for her outlaw son's body, men trying to kill each other for a copy of a wish catalog, gun slingers in a declining market,....

These are just a few of short stories read by George Kennedy and Mr. Kennedy does a great job! I really enjoyed the variety of stories, the humor.
