I enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting and very informative. Some of the diet myths I knew about some I did not but more. It's not one of those book that tell you how wrong you and but just gets you to think about diets in a logical manner. Will be re-reading again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sound guidance January 22, 2012

Monica Reinagle, aka. The Nutrition Diva, barbecues 10 juicy morsels of conventional wisdom about weight loss.

You know...the trite skewers of conventional wisdom you hear around the water cooler like "skipping breakfast puts your body in starvation mode" or "calories don't matter, eat all as much as you like so long as you avoid carbs."

In this quick read, Monica sets these myths ablaze to light a better path for weight loss. I won't spoil the advice, but the guidance here is worth the price.

Four stars: Read this.

Tired of the hope-then-disillusion roller coaster of most fad diet books? Treat yourself--and your health--to this fact-filled, clear-voiced debunking of the biggest diet myths we've all bought into at one time or another. Licensed nutritionist Monica Reinagel knows it ain't easy getting lean, but doesn't take that as an excuse to sugar-coat the scientific facts about how our bodies process food into energy. The bottom line? It's an arithmetic problem of calories out exceeding calories in to equal weight loss. That said, Reinagel shares a cartload of actionable, achievable tips that will help anyone committed to making healthy changes starting now. Thank you, Nutrition Diva!
