Basic wiring,
By
This review is from: How to Wire Your Hot Rod (Hot Rod Basics) (Paperback)
Dennis Overholser has created a wiring instruction book that is easy to read and understand. While not overly technical it provides the diy type of individual the basics to arm himself/herself to wire a hot rod or certainly to upgrade an existing system. Photos and illustrations are clear, concise and easy to read. Charts are great.
This book is great value for price and I refer to it on a regular basis.

Wiring your street rod,

"How to Wire Your Hot Rod" was a great help for wiring my Street Rod. It was packed full of helpful hints and wire diagrams that the MFG of the wire harness did not provide or was not fully explained. This is an excellent tool for a first time builder such as myself "Highly Recomended"

Hot rod wiring,

The book does have some good information, but could benfit from the use of more simple schematics. The book was primarily purchased to help trouble shoot turn signal systems and that information seemed to be lacking entirely. Also, it seems it is a advertising site for an aftermarket wiring kit supply company. It does have some basic wiring information, but I think people should look elsewhere for something more complete and functional.

How to wire a Hot Rod using Painless,
By
This review is from: How to Wire Your Hot Rod (Hot Rod Basics) (Paperback)
Painless should provide this book with their wire kits. It would be usefull in that case. Otherwise, there is some good information here but not what you would need to wire a hot rod without a kit.

The book did not help me figure out how to wire my wiper in my 1930 Model A. It mentions wiper a few times in text and photos, but for me it did not tell me what wires to connect to what components (e.g., wiper switch, fuse panel, power and wiper motor). There were some tables but they really were not specific enough for me, at least, to understand. The book was very much directed at specific products (e.g., Painless electrical systems), but I don't think that was the problem; it just did not meet my specific needs.
