Gr 6 Up-This step-by-step guide will help serious students produce a term paper or will help teachers to guide them through the process. Short concise chapters, complete with examples and lists, cover choosing a topic, outlining, reference sources, using a bibliography, taking notes, organizing and writing a rough draft, citing references, and revising. The earlier edition, So You Have to Write a Term Paper! (Watts, 1987; o.p.), has been revised and updated to include a chapter on primary sources and a checklist for completion. Other new features include material on how computers can help in topic selection, information gathering, writing, and bibliography building; more techniques for narrowing a topic; an expanded chapter on creating a preliminary outline and analyzing the topic; electronic reference sources; and an updated list for further reading. There are three pages of information about the card catalog and about a half page on on-line catalogs. It seems that in this day and age the reverse would be more realistic.-Dana McDougald, Cedar Shoals High School, Athens, GA
