I thought I was waiting to see Michael Penn at Atlanta's Music Midtown festival when this frumpy looking lady (sorry Michelle) took the stage, strapped on a guitar, belched once, and began to tune up. I thought she must be a guitar tech until a bass player and drummer took the stage and they broke out rockin'. I was hooked from the opening chords and bought the disc at the festival. It remains one of my favorites three years later. I never tire of it. From soulful ballads to edgy guitar rock she has it all. Exceptional guitar player and vocals reminiscent of Chrissy Hynde. A must have!

I have both CD's and the sampler CD and they are all great. I am waiting for her new CD called Hollywood. This is the best CD so far. I am also waiting to see her live in Texas.

Found myself rewinding back through every song!! It's been a very long time since a cd has captured my attention all the way through!

Michelle Penn is the most under-rated superstar of this decade. She has accomplished what most over-rated stars of today wish they could...an album worth listening to all the way through. Her self accualization is recognized in her lyrics and she has given her heart and soul into the music itself. You can actually feel it when you listen. A true 10+....she's on the rise, LISTEN up !!

When a friend took me to see Michelle Penn in concert I was hooked. Unlike many of those whining female artists of the day, Michelle's lyrics are modern day poetry reminiscent of early Pretenders before they got so commercial. She is destined to be a big star soon...don't sell out Michelle!

Keep your eye on this one. Very soulful voice. Keep on rocken Michelle
