Oh, How This Made OUR Hearts Sing!!!! My daughter is 4 1/2 yrs old and this book was perfect for her. I would recommend this book for a 3-6 yr old. We were blessed with our child through a kinship adoption and were finding it difficult to find a book that tackled this kind of adoption. This book was a great book we're using to introduce our daughter to the meaning of adoption and we will use it to spark a more intimate and detailed conversation.

Mama Kitten can not take care of her new baby kitten and prays to the Lord for help on what to do. She decides on a friend, Sadie the dog, who takes the baby kitten and loves her like her own.

This book is great for kinship, single-parent, two-parent, or inter-racial adoptions.

This book is written in a very unique and creative way. Using animals to tell the story of adoption is incredible. It allows even small children to begin to understand the meaning of adoption in a positive way. The book is especially helpful if you are a single parent adopting a child. Written from a Christian perspective it also teaches adopted children that God loved and cared about them even before they were born! This is a must read for any family who has been touched by adoption.

This book is written in a way that helps a child to understand their adoption. I read this book to my 5 year old son many times and he seemed to understand better each time. I never knew HOW WELL he was understanding until we went to Disney World a couple of months ago and I heard him explaining his adoption to the lady at the table beside us in the same loving way the book is written. As any adoptive parent would understand I wanted to cry and cheer at the same time! Thank you Beverly and Sherry. Your beautiful gift has been a great blessing!

This was such a great book for my adopted 6 yr. old(adopted at birth). The story is about a mama cat who found herself having a third child, yet unable to care for it, so she carefully and prayerfully asks God what to do, and God tells her to give the baby to her friend Sadie Shnauzer, who prayerfully asks God what to do, and gets her answer to be the kittens mother. The Story is very close to our family's adoption story. It is a very special book.
My 6yr old had me read it to her about 6 times in the first two days after we got it. It really helped her feel more comfortable with the "adoption" issue!

This is a great adoption book. I struggle sometimes to find appropriate adoption books for my 3 year old, but this book is great.
