Jerry Colangelo delivers absolutely the most powerful message in his new book, "How You Play The Game," which is, you can't have success without giving. Colangelo discusses a wide range of topics that helped him get to where he is today. He discusses forming partnerships, being a good person before becoming a role model, and staying focused. Jerry Colangelo is definitely an inspiration to me, and I believe all that he says is true!

This book by Jerry Colangelo is very well written. It is a quick and interesting read and also teaches you many things about marketing a product. Jerry Colangelo is a very well respected person in the sports world and he is a real example of the American Dream. Colangelo began his life with nothing and slowly, using his intelligence in business, built himself a sports empire starting with the Bulls and continuing with the Suns, Diamondbacks, and Rattlers. This is a great book and I recommend it to everyone and anyone to read.

Myles: The aspect Colangelo stresses most is that with hard work he achieved all his goals. Starting the Bulls, he worked tirelessly to secure money, made sure the players were happy, advertised, and devised creative marketing techniques. But he did not stop with the Bulls. He moved on to start the Phoenix Suns, and eventually the Arizona Diamondbacks, not to mention a professional soccer and arena football league team. With all these franchises, his one piece of advice to himself was, "the city doesn't owe us anything. We have to earn its support". To do this, he made valuable connections with the people of the city and was committed to community service. Overall, "How You Play the Game" is a great book that shows what it takes to start a sports franchise.

Brilliant! Fantastic book and you can take his life lessons and use them towards any endeavor. How can you go wrong with Jerry, an amazing man.

If you want to journey in the business field or want a view of it than this is the book. It takes you on a journey with a man who started off with nothing and now is one of the most wealthest men in the US. This Book Captures Every Prospect and angle of running your own business, it provides the basic knowledge and understanding of learning how to become a good entrepenuer. Jerry Colangelo is a brilliant individual who has not only changed the view of sports with his amazing inovations but also his efforts on creating a more enjoyable sports industry.

This book is preatty interesting if you are interested in buisness or in sports because it is full of little tricks and trades to the sports buisness world. This book was about the road to riches of a regular man with a dream to have succesful sports teams. Although it took me a long time to read it, I still liked the book.

this book was pretty cool. Unlike the previous book I read on sports marketing, this book wasn't boring. This book was a pretty quick read. This book can be helpful to people who are looking to own a team or anyone who just wants to start their own business.

Though this book had interesting moments, for the most part it was just a very detailed story of the life of a sports mogul. For people interested in going into the sports business or with a tremendous interest in knowing how the business works, this book could be valuable. I found it interesting to learn how major leage sports teams are started and all the work that goes on behind the scenes. However, since Colangelo is not a man who has had a great impact on the world, I found the many detailed accounts of his various experiences tedious at times and for the most part unnecessary to the story. Though not always engaging, the easy-flowing style of this book makes it an inviting read.

I thought that this was a great book. How you play the game is a true story about Arizona Diamond back and pheonix sun owner jerry colangelo. He writes about what he did in his life to go from a tuxedo rental shop employee to a multimillion dollar sports franchise owner. Very interesting and very motivating.
