2.0 out of 5 stars I was disappointed, August 29, 2008
By LA "Hope" (Akron,Ohio) - See all my reviews
I did not think that this book was detailed enough to ensure that you would achieve a good result. It contained a lot of information, quotes from celebrities and other famous persons, for example, that were a waste of book space. I would have preferred to have purchased a book that presented haircut techniques on a more detailed and serious level.

1.0 out of 5 stars A collection of bad ideas, November 20, 2008
Luckily I flipped through this book in Border's before I wasted any money on it.

For cutting short hair like mine, they recommend that you tie your hair back in a pony tail and simply snip the 'tail' off. I did this once when I was 15; suffice to say, it's a really bad idea.

I won't be trying any of the other bright ideas in this book, I'm too horrified to think what might happen!

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful hints, great pakagin, January 31, 2009
By Curly (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This book actually works and the spiral binding with stand-up backing makes it easy to use and read at the same time. My last haircut at the salon was a disaster. I asked for a trim and lost about 5 inches of hair. I am never going back there again and now i don't have to. I have really curly hair and this book showed me how to style it myself. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to save $$ and look great. Very well done!
