5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you wanted to know about IT but were afraid to ask, August 23, 2009
This book has a plethora of information and good advise. The section that caught my attention was the chapter on Disaster Recovery. This is stuff that most companies and IT departments ignore because it is too much work, but it pays off big time when the river rises!

I highly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Content Delivers What Title Promises, September 17, 2009
A good, pretty fast read. The book goes over technical and social aspects of the IT Admin job role and feels like it has the overarching goal of making sure the reader can approach all of the situations that would surprise (and maybe trouble) a budding IT admin.

It's the perfect book to read in the interval between the day you quit your job and the day you start your new career in IT. If you're new to IT, save yourself a few years of hard knocks by reading this book, then pass it on to the next "new guy" in your department.
