This review is from: How to make a fortune with Options trading (Paperback)
This book is prime example of self publishing when you do not use peers or an editor look over your work before releasing it to the public.

The author uses this book as a platform to sell his other books and intentionally leaves out valuable information so you will have to purchase his other books.

Here is a quote: "The best way to use Covered Calls is as a hedge against falling stock prices. You can use the following techniques (covered in detail in How to make a fortune on The Stock Markets)..."

You have to jump around chapters in order to understand what the author is trying to show you in terms of his trading style. I had to read the material a couple of times to grasp what the author was trying to explain.

If you are new at trading options stay away from this book until you get the basics down. This book attempts to show you how to exploit put options in order to make a profit. Most new traders will not feel comfortable trading put options.

The author glosses over very difficult techniques using Elliot Wave Theory and Fibonacci Techniques. These are not for the faint of heart and the book should have gone into better detail on these techniques.

Another thing that disturbs me is that the author gives many charts with no stock labels. I have to assume he made up the charts himself.

The author goes into chart patterns and gives them his own names. Why muddy the waters when there are already chart books out there that have established names for the same chart patterns.

Okay, a few positives, the author gives you information on how to find momentum stocks using the msn money stock screener. This is nothing you cannot do on your own though.

After looking at the authors other works he seems to be interested in forms of gambling. This book on options appears to be written from a gamblers perspective. I would be interested in seeing the authors trading record.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How to make a fortune with Options trading (Paperback)
This is the first time I have ever felt ripped off on an Amazon purchase. I have never given a book 1 star and frankly it doesn't deserve that.

The "book" consists of 20 pages of actual material which for the most part is useless since he doesn't explain any of his "techniques" except to refer you to one of his many books from " The Ultimate Greyhound Betting System" to "Investing in En Primeur Wine".

The rest of the "book" consists of 82 pages of appendices and another 12 pages of the authors books along with summaries for additional filler.

I'm glad I only got ripped off for 20 bucks. Don't be the next victim.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple but helpful, January 10, 2007
This review is from: How to make a fortune with Options trading (Paperback)
The book is an exellent manual for option trading.
The tips and advices are given from the author's own
experience, which make them gold advices to remember.
I liked the simplicity : the author succeeded in summarizing
his trading technique in 10 principles which are easy
to follow, remember and implement in real market.
I also liked the asset allocation chapter.
