Saw it on PBS Special "Social Class In America" - FABULOUS,
By
This review is from: How to meet the Rich: For Business, Friendship, or Romance (Paperback)
What I like about this book is that it is not a gold-digger book - and I do not understand why it is sold with gold digger books. Maybe it is being confused with her other book How To Marry The Rich.THIS BOOK is for the whole person - to improve your business and social life - and yeah, yeah, if you fall in love with someone who is rich, it tells you how to handle yourself to stand a better chance of marrying the person. But it is NOT a gold-digger book and anyone who buys it for that purpose will feel as if all the valuable information for business people or breaking into society is just stuffing - which it is not if you are an entrepreneur who needs financial backing or just improving your lot in life. The author's appearance on PBS was just great and showed how helpful her book can be in helping people beat the social class system.

Packed with GREAT USEFUL information,

This review is from: How to Meet the Rich (Paperback)
I have many of the "marry rich" books and this is the best one on the market! I also have her "how to marry the rich" which is awesome. This book is thick and has MUCH more info.I have used it and it WORKS. The 14 layers of class are great! The best part is how to get into society (i.e. all those exclusive clubs such as the supporting arts and culture, etc.- I tried this and it worked- I am now in!) I have met many wealthy people this way, following the principles in this book.I get invited to great parties and have great female friends who are invaluable to meeting more wealthy men and women! The clothes ideas are ok, but a bit dated and that is the only thing wrong with this book- (it is the year it was written)As far as clothes - the rules are pretty easy use natural materials and quality items- wear what they wear.It is not that hard to figure out, that class is timeless elegance, i.e. sweater sets, silks in bright colors, etc. But this book is worth the price it will change your life if you put it into practice!!

REQUIRED READING IN COLLEGE BUSINESS CLASSES,
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Meet the Rich (Paperback)
HOW TO MEET THE RICH for Business, Friendship, or Romance is REQUIRED READING by professors in some University and College business courses. No wonder! This valuable book teaches you how to identify the 6 different types of wealthy people and what motivates each type to buy your product or service - no other book I have read has that type of specific, useful information - but then again, Ginie Sayles was a stockbroker and a business woman in her own right. Some of the people who have rated this book, obviously have not even read it - they just guessed at the contents by the title. It is truly a great, great, great book!!!

I originaly purchased this book to learn how to interact with the rich and how to meet rich potential clients. However it was just what I needed to learn to be the polished lady that is taught to young girls in finishing school. I wished I had this earlier in life (I am in my late 30's and married 3 years). This book is awesome and sure to be a classic. Buy it now because I will never, ever sell my copy.

Simple fact the rich are not that different but they do hold certain things more important. I didn't like the title too much but the contect is dead on. The class gap in America is growing and reading this book will give you a better understanding of the people who you want to work for, with or ok maybe marry.

Gini Sayles-How to Meet the Rich..,
By Dr B "Dr Barb" (Canberra, Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to meet the Rich: For Business, Friendship, or Romance (Paperback)
I was very pleased to read Gini's book. She is a very inspiring lady who does her due diligence and covers all bases in an extremely comprehensive manual. There is nothing 'gold digger-like' about her as the title may suggest.Gini is a lady who commands respect from men and women alike due to her hard work, talent and ability. Her quality of writing is excellent and I love her suggestions on how anyone can improve themselves, paying attention to dress, speech, focus, drive, determination but mostly desire and hard work. Gini is a lady after my own heart..she is determined to make a contribution herself as a woman rather than sweep up somebody else's crumbs from the table. She is an independent lady with consummate social skills. I am interested in this topic particularly and am currently writing a book on a different aspect of this extremely topical subject.

This book had a lot of good information in it. It provides information just as the title describes. Realistic ideas are in the book that would help someone meet and fit in more comfortabley with the rich and upper end clients.

For Business or Friendship - this book is great, too.,
This review is from: How to meet the Rich: For Business, Friendship, or Romance (Paperback)
I read this book for the Business and Friendship sections which were just great! It has helped me in both categories. I am married and do not need romance now; but I would recommend it to any friends who do. The business and friendship as well as romance are all informative

I'm nothing short of impressed with this book. Ginnie Sayles knows her stuff. If you want to get rich clients, friends or a lover, this is the book for you. There's four different parts to this guide and she goes in to a lot of detail in each one. I'd recommend this for college-level business and sociology classes. I would be careful with the advice on how to dress, since the recommendations seem a little old fashioned, but other than that, anyone can use this advice. I'm especially impressed with her chapter on getting comfortable with the rich, because I think most people are pretty intimidated with those of the upper class and may not exactly be sure as to how they should act without coming off as fake. This book is a keeper!

Valuable information,

The breakdown of the different types of rich people and their characteristics is insightful. Also informative is the list of the different facets of class. Some of the author's opinions are a bit silly: her idea of an outfit for a specific occasion is too detailed with color combinations that may not suit everyone or may be too trendy; and then there is her opinion that one needs 10 of the 14 layers of class to actually have class--three of them require having or marrying money. Also, I'm not comfortable with the author's opinion that it is acceptable to have the rich person in the relationship to pay off your bills of the poorer one. People with class have bad names to call poor people who expect remuneration from a relationship. |
