So, we did a lot of research and found the ultimate place to start our journey. The home of many of the heaviest bass ever caught on earth: the hills of Southern California. (Our anglers had fished all over the world, and their hands were shaking after the first day from what they saw.) It's not every day one finds surfers and Pacific Ocean waves on the way to a Bass honey hole. Fly rods compete against the spin rods, with some pretty entertaining results. The scenery is ridiculous!

This was an enjoyable take on the fishing movie. It wasn't just casting and narration or all instruction. It felt more like a documentary covering the past and future of American bass fishing. It had interviews with some familiar faces like Bill Dance and Kevin Van Dam, and also had a couple or world record holders I never heard of. I definitely want to fish the areas of California that anglers explored

The best part was the BIG FISH. The amount and quality of big bass was very impressive. It was interesting to see them caught on both fly and spin rods. I'm definitely thinking about throwing a fly rod for bass a lot more. I also enjoyed the 2nd disc which had all the special features. It was very interesting to hear Bill Dance to talk about how he got started fishing. The quality of the fish caught in the bonus scenes was still excellent.

Overall this was very enjoyable. A must for any serious Bass fan.
