This is for beginners who want to learn the game of Texas Holdem not for advance players.

As everyone else said...save your money. This DVD doesn't talk about tells for more than 20% of the video and that 20% is incredibly basic stuff...

Very misleading title, less than 10 minutes are spent on tells, the rest merely repeats material from his first DVD. Don't buy this if you own his other DVD's.

This DVD has virtually no information on "Tells" as the title would have you believe. There are approximately 8 minutes going over 5 basic tells.

The rest of the video is spent on basic hold-em principles that anyone interested in tells will already know.

On television you get the idea that Howard Lederer is one of the "good guys" of poker. They even nicknamed him "The Professor". Well if he were my professor and gave a lecture like this, I would drop the course in a heartbeat. I have no respect for him after putting out a DVD called Tells without it being about Tells.

This DVD gave about 5 tells in the begining of the disc. After that, he explains how Hold em is set up and played. What a waste of money. Why would you title the DVD "tells" if you spend 5 minutes on it and the rest is on how holdem is played with a few basic concepts. I mean this is total nonsense. i only gave it a 1 star because its the lowest i can give. Would like to give a neg rating if i could. Total bummer mannn...

I would like to start off by saying that this is the first DVD in the ole Howard Lederer (HL) Poker series that I have reviewed. This is also the first item what so ever that was made by HL that I have reviewed. Everyone knows or has at least heard of Caro's Book of Tells, the book came first then the video. Caro's Book of tells is fantastic but there has not been anything close since it's initial release. HL "Tells"All was marketed as a video on opponent tells that you may see. Howard Lederer is a respected figure in the poker community and I had high hopes for this DVD but I can't help but feel like HL came into my house and punched me in the face and stole my wallet after watching this DVD.

The DVD runs for 60 minutes, the first 10 minutes covers a few well known tells, nothing really new. After the first 10 minutes the DVD explains the rules and game play of Texas Holdem, in a very awkward way I might add.

I cannot express how let down I was, maybe his other DVDs are great beginner flicks and this was the one dud but wow, this dud leaves a really bad taste in your mouth. After watching this DVD I realized that I have just lost 60 minutes out of my life that are gone forever.

The only highlight to this DVD is that i got it on Ebay for $6 shipped. As I always say, you should source your poker books and DVDs from online stores, this is the perfect case in point. Once you realize how lame your newly acquired poker book is, your only saving grace is knowing that you paid very little for it.

I would say that HL's articles from Full Tilt Poker are fantastic <true> but after watching this DVD I feel like harboring a grudge for a while. HL if your listening you owe me a cup of coffee, and a bagel ...and 60 minutes of my life back.

This DVD is a complete waste of time and money. It gives you no useful tips and will not help your poker game whatsoever! Do not get bluffed out of your money by Howard Lederer!

THIS SO CALL "TELLS" DVD IS ACTUALY LESS THAN 20% ABOUT TELLS AND MORE ABOUT BASIC STRATEGY FOR BEGINERS.THAT WOULD HAD BEEN OK IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE FACT THAT IT IS ADVERTISED AS A DVD ABOUT TELLS( HE HAD 2 OTHER DVDS ABOUT BASIC STRATEDY).FROM NOW ON WHEN I SEE THE NAME HOWARD LEDERER THAT WILL BE A TELL.
